  1. You can delete this response if you want. I really like it like it is and appreciate everyone's effort who is involved. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  2. You might try this. There is a hobby shop in Sanford, NC called Wings, Wheels and Waves. He does mail-order as MCW, selling paint and resin. He has scale pin stripe in his store. He might sell it thru mail order if you call or email him.
  3. You beat me to it, I was going to make some kind of Tucker comment. I think it looks cool
  4. I love it. I had a Chevette one time, probably the most dependable car I owned. Actually be looking at Craigslist and other places for one. I have a Chevy 4.3 V6 engine and think that would make a neat little swap.
  5. Like Ace mentioned, I would go to the extra effort to pin them.
  6. Hate to say it, but there's a lot of unethical people preying on model builders. I have never trusted sealed older collectible kits. If I consider one, I tell the seller that it will be opened in front of him and my money returned if it is not as advertised. I am a builder, so sealed kits don't have an attraction to me.
  7. Don't know if this is a help, but MCW is doing small jars of enamels now, has engine specific, metals and even a tinted carburetor color.
  8. Excellent build up of that historic car. You amaze me being half a world away from stock car country, but the desire that you have to create these models.
  9. Don't know too many kids that could have pulled that off.
  10. I always liked that car with the chrome cragers front and back. Just looks cleaner.
  11. Been following along and hope to start my build in the near future (Terry Labonte Stratagraph car). I understand all you did except the area at the top of the firewall to the dash face. Could you explain your modifications, maybe save me some headaches.
  12. Looks real good. Back in the day when the bodies were mostly factory, didn't change sponsor and paint schemes every week. The good old days of stock car racing.
  13. Zero humidity, what's that. Here in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, I would like to have a day without rain. Back to the models. The kit decals on the Leal car look like they did real good, aftermarket quality.
  14. For a tag, go to ACME plate maker and personalize and print your own.
