  1. Yea, that's the first thing I thought of. I used a rotary paint mixer in case the pigment had settled. It was a little better but pretty much the same consistency. It ended up being a flat color anyway, which wasn't what I was looking for. I'll look for some shiny light grey at my LHS, Thanx for the advice though, I really do appreciate it.
  2. I went to brush paint some parts today using a bottle of Model Master Dark Ghost Grey and it's way to thin to brush, what can be done about that? I thought about just leaving it open to dry out some but it just forms a skin on top which then defeats the purpose. I suppose I could just paint multiple thin layers but can anything else be done?
  3. P.S. Sorry to hijack your thread Gustavo!
  4. Not true.... The Original MonkeeMobile was a tan '66 without A/C... it was a bare bones stocker with a top round push-button gear selector. The second car was a '67 with the rectangular gear selector. (The grills kinda give it away) The *Model* of the MonkeeMobile is a mashup of the original and the 2nd version. The original had no A/C and a solid-mounted rear suspension as Dean thought they wanted a wheelie car. The original also had only the resonators replacing the original mufflers with the downspouts exiting just in under the rear axle. These are pix of the original and 1st MonkeeMobile. Note the purple(?) carpeting. The lever on the right side of the driveshaft tunnel is the chute release. Also note that the 1st MonkeeMobile had a pin-stripe down the side, the second '67 verson did not.
  5. I thought that at first and then starting reading WAY too much into it. I guess the gent looking quite annoyed in the background should'a been a clue. (although he *is* there looking at the same stuff, what does *that* say?) Thanx Chris!
  6. I'm dense on a lot of things (Women mostly) and I'm not getting this....Somebody clue me in.....?
  7. The first IDoJ GTO was actually tan, was only in one or 2 episodes and ended up becoming the first MonkeeMobile, true fact. That's why the MonkeeMobile has a tan dash/steering wheel. Nice job on the Goat, Gustavo!
  8. Ha, I'd forgotten about the "Haulin Hearse". My friend built one, crazy. I'd like to see all the Parts pages that were available back then. Seems I remember there was more pages of parts and decals than there were car kits. I know where there's a complete Ford Mark IV and Trailer kit right now for $70 that was only $3 back then, sheesh!

  10. The only Ford I've ever owned was a '59 station wagon that I bought for one purpose. I folded down the rear seat, bought a thin mattress and some pillows and would back into the local drive-in parking spot, open the clam-shell rear and watch a movie (sometimes :P) with my then GF. I hated it otherwise, when she went so did the Ford!
  11. I never put that together before, Good Catch!
  12. I couldn't remember the whole line but it was the first thing I thought of when I saw them driving through a mall. Too Funny!

  14. I had a ferret that did that... only took the shiny stuff.
  15. +1 for use of the word Quatloos
  16. I buy from RockAuto quite a bit. They have a good reputation for a reason, they aren't gonna steer you wrong. If you want an OEM part they list it as such and if you're only looking for off-brand they state it right up front. Plus they (usually) give you a nice pic of what the part is and exactly what it fits.
  17. I've seen this in RL at a place I usta work. You'd be quite surprised (at least I was) at how much those fork lifts weigh. BTW, what's the (ex) driver got in his left hand, a Vape Pen? What's in it? The graffiti is a nice touch and that last shot of the too-short suspenders is right on, Great Job!
  18. Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH you're right, a LOT of stuff. Some model cars around page 16. I wonder how much that $4250 Babe Ruth card will finally go for, and that Neon Roadrunner sign is way cool!
  19. This is on Scenes Unlimited front page: ST Supply Company has acquired Scenes Unlimited complete product line. For further updates and information please contact: https://stsupplyco.com
  20. You only need one magnet and a magnetic metal on the other side.... a pen clip comes to mind.... cheap metal flatware could be another. These small magnets are pretty strong. If you're pressed for room and can't fit a magnet inside a door or whatever, you could just use a strip of metal.
  21. Stuff happens, then my brain kicks in!
  22. Reality, it is a difficult concept!
