  1. Today’s progress I built the wood pick up bed and fitted the kits tauna cover to it. Also made the weight tube
  2. It looks so fine I love the red paint on this body it’s just has that cool 60’s vibe. I just picked up one of these kits today at the hobby lobby to build as a super stocker
  3. Go on line and check out pole cat decal’s he makes the Chrisman comet decals that you’re looking for plus a whole bunch of other great decals. I really like your build don’t sweat they small stuff it’s just a model that’s going to look great on your shelf.
  4. I built this box stock when it came out about 11 years ago. As far as I remember it’s painted with Tamyia dark metallic blue. This issue of super stock magazine has a nice little article about the car with some good reference photos . I did use the headers from the polar lights barracuda funny car kit. This kit builds up into a great representation of a mustang funny car. It’s important to keep the frame real square when gluing it together. I highly recommend assembling the chassis before any paint. These are the kit decals and they look great and went on real nice. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  5. That’s a cool concept, and I’m really impressed by the finish on the tin work with the revell spray chrome. I sure wish it wasn’t so expensive. All is well done that’s a pretty neat paint scheme . Very well executed.
  6. I just got the daunting task of building the headers, and fabricating the fuel tank mount
  7. The iconic AMT 1937 GASS MASTER CHEVY kit. Although I like the 40-41 Willy’s body better the 37 Chevy is my number 2 choice of gasser . I built this mostly from the 37 Chevy which I had robbed for the drag parts from. Not wanting to build a stocker or a custom with it. I combined it with the engine left over from the Moebius Chevy 2 gasser kit . The rear wheels are from the Amt 33 Willy’s. I sprayed it with good old testors enamel topped with a few coats of wet look clear. With out a set of decals I decided to just hand paint the door lettering. The stance is good looking with just the stock springs I did use a straight piece of aluminum tubing for the axle. It looks great from all angles until next time thanks for looking, Mike
  8. You made that new demon kit look superb great color choice it looks spot on. I can’t wait to get my hands on this kit when all the hype Calms down and hopefully for a sane price
  9. Nice super clean build and great job on building the suspension it all looks spot on just like it rolled out of Holdmen & Moody’s shop
  10. They are so much fun I love all the old AMT trophy series kits. How cool would it be if round 2 would tool some completely new trophy series kits
  11. It really looks great nice job on the wheel well mods.
  12. It looks just amazing. I like your use of the black steel back wheels as they give a nice contrast. I have found that the tamyia bright red is a pretty close match for that shade of red.
  13. That came out great. A Hudson six altered who would have thought.
  14. The paint is mostly done I still have to mask and paint the head lights . It’s on its wheels with motor. No interior yetor
  15. I built this from a mix between the MPC winged express and Batam blast kits. The Bantam kit supplied the small wing and injector hat . The front 12 spokes are comp resin the decals are slixx . I hand painted the white pin strips and are a little shaky. Until next time thanks for looking, Mike
  16. That’s one killer build the unfinished welds , and the weathering look fantastic. You really captured the look. That’s a great idea and the just right mix of parts
  17. It’s great to see that you built this rare and valuable old kit, and it came out great by the way. The colors look spot on. I have to wonder if round 2 will ever reissue this one
  18. Some progress on the Dorricott & Sheehan Fiat . I found the blown Pontiac in the Mickey Thompson streamliner
  19. I got the roll bar done and the body ready for paint. I had to cut the rear cross member out of the chassis . I will have to move it forward to get the right wheel base
  20. I totally agree the satin black finish the white headers the big slicks , and the nose down rake make for a nasty looking machine
  21. This one is a good old kit bash using the AMT 33 Willy’s the AMT Vega wagon funny car . As for the engine I combined the short block from the Vega with HEMI heads and valve covers from the parts box. The rear wheels came from a AMT modified stock car with the big slicks from AMT’S parts pack . Some of the decals are from slixx and some are from smp . The paint is tamyia satin black . I made the headers from solder and aluminum tubing the velocity stacks are aluminum tubing. It took a little doing to get everything to fit under the narrow Willy’s front end , but all in all the funny car chassis fits really good. Until next time thanks for looking, Mike
  22. Great job it all looks spot on . Those first generation Camaros were tough drag cars
  23. That’s a neat combo great work there
  24. I really like that injected flat head that would look great in so many things. A belly tank lakes car comes to mind.
