What Did You See In Your Yard Today?

I guess they came and got him this morning, he’s gone. He was the sweetest horse, very tame. Fed him a couple of apples, my granddaughter and I loved on him before putting him up. We’ve got huge pastures in front and on one side and a smaller one behind us. They’ve been cutting and bailing hay as you can see in one of my pictures. For his safety I lead him through the open gate in the first picture. We’ve got three and an half acres. Our closest neighbor is my mother in law, she’s about two acres away. The other two are even further away. When I tell you it’s quite out here, you can hear a cricket fart from a mile away! It has done wonders for my PTSD, but that’s another story. Sorry for rambling. -

This evening another horse appeared in the backyard. This time my wife and I tried to find the owner to no avail. I lead him over to the field beside our house and closed the gate. Don’t know who owns the field or the horse but I didn’t feel right about just letting him roam free. Guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow. You’ll have to excuse the lack of landscaping. Part of my remodel was replacing the septic system and field lines. Waiting on it to cool down before breaking out the skid steer. Heat index was around 104 today. Not working outside in it. -

There’s guinea bird in our back yard this morning. We don’t own a guinea bird. I’m sure enjoying watching him move about. Since moving into the new place in the country, we’ve had a horse, a cow, few dogs and now a guinea bird stop by. I’m loving this new life. -
I’ve got two or three Regals in the stash waiting to be built. I’m going to follow along. Even though that was one of my favorite bodies from back when NASCAR was worth watching, I never quite understood it. The Buick Regal and, to a lesser extent the Olds Cutlass front end reminded me of a rounded off brick. Especially on the super speedways. The Regal just didn’t seem as slick as a Thunderbird. Monte Carlo SS or the Grand Prix to me.

What's with the U.S.Post office these days?
Volzfan59 replied to styromaniac's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
That’s a very good question. Where I live things move at a pretty slow pace, one of those places where you don’t have to lock your doors. I thought about just taking it to the C/U and let them figure it out. -

It was the ladies credit union bank statement. Apparently she does her banking at the same C/U we use. I did take it to the post office and gave it to the Asst Post Master. He’s over the rural route carriers. We have a rural route carrier, live in the country.
