This build took most of last year and a month this year to complete. Two truck kits were used, the AMT Kenworth and the AMT Kenworth Canepa T600. Frame stretched, third axle added, 60inch sleeper fabricated from a 30 inch sleeper from a GMC General kit. The rear suspension was corrected, front suspension corrected and added wider front rims/tires. Grill was corrected and molded into hood as original. The trailer started a an AMT Lowboy kit. It has been stretched to 40ft, wooden deck and 10 hole wheels. Standing tank was fabricated completely from scratch. My fleet continues to grow.

You will need to move the cab forward, I assume and will you need to modify the firewall. Interesting to see what you do -

I will be following this build and thanks for posting the details. I have a couple of these kits and really like what you are doing. Always wanted to build one of the short hood trucks. -
