  1. Nice attention to the fit details. I have seen real trucks that the hood and cab don’t fit well.
  2. Impressive to work with that much detail in such a small scale, well done
  3. Finished up my display cabinet, now back to finish the International truck.
  4. Thanks, my wood shop fits in the same category as my lawn mower or the garden. When I need to cut the grass I grab the mower, when we need a piece of furniture,I go out to the wood shop, they are not my focus hobby, just necessary tools to live my life and keep costs down.
  5. Decided to build a display cabinet to put my truck builds in, maybe help keep the dust off. 42 inches long by 24 inches wide, that should fit the truck and trailers. Used some no 2 oak I had laying around, will cut plexiglass to insert in the glass areas. Hopefully the grandkids can’t break it or ………. The aluminum spacers are to get the door spacing the same all around.
  6. Well done, love the color combo.
  7. Wow Karl, the candy just keeps coming. Well done, can’t wait to see what else is coming out.
  8. OMG………..wow, that is some detail, just outstanding detail.
  9. Just catching up, wow, that engine detail is outstanding, well done. Interior looks really good also.
  10. Wow, you are all in on this build, will be watching. And yes, the aftermarket parts world is changing our hobby in a big way. We spend 50 bucks on a kit and then spend 200 hundred bucks on aftermarket parts. Love how you are building your way.
  11. Thanks and yes, I need to get back to this build and wrap it up. Hey Jeff. I think the earlier kits did not have this issue, the tool must have been updated due to wear or something and the locating position of the front springs got moved. The axle fits the springs quite well. I am hoping the new Sprite redo is a better updated kit. A narrower front axle would make floats and easier task for sure
  12. Outstanding fab work, that’s gonna be a really cool build.
  13. Master fabricator, well done, joy to watch.
  14. The detail is mesmerizing, I keep looking and looking. Well done.
  15. Fun to watch you build this scale, great detail.
  16. Lengthen frame rails (18.5 inches), now start hanging axles and cross members
  17. I have been collecting parts most of the summer for this build and it has morphed a little from the original post title, but I thought I would just continue this post so the journey could be followed. Received the second lift steering axle, and the 3rd and 6th lift axles. Now have the cab and hood I want to use (see above). Have the front fender flares as well. Also have a donor kit to steal the rear drive air bag suspension . Did a mock-up to start building a frame length. I did learn that the frame size is larger than the road tractor, figure that out shortly. I will scratch build the logging crane I am still in pursuit of the engine, I ordered the Pakcar mX15 motor but have learned since that they use the Cummins X15. Not sure how they differ.
