Same problem with an EBay purchase. Bought a Kenworth cab and hood from a printer in Canada, was supposed to be 1:25 scale but I can put a 1:25 cab inside of it, not even sure it is 1:24 scale. Not sure what I will do with it. -

Factory installed are usually the same color as the body, custom installed can be pretty much any color including polished/chrome metal. -

Outstanding build, well done -
I will now be using a different cab, same model but there is a slight difference in the cab width. So I made four cuts, removing material so that I can refill those areas with filler. Made a spreader bar to gently encourage the hood to be a bit wider and flatter. Cuts marked with a pencil. this gives the hood and cab a better fit. we will see if this works, if not, I may use the 5000 hood and call it good, finishing this truck.
