  1. Thank you guys, appreciate the feedback.
  2. Just finished up the conversion from a International 5000 to a 5600 heavy hauler.
  3. Couple decals and a couple reflectors tomorrow and this project will be wrapped up. Will post to under glass tomorrow.
  4. Yes sir, this is gonna take a few months.
  5. I will build a new version of this logging crane I built a few years ago with the exception of the controls area. New crane only have two control sticks and are mounted near the seat area. The two main extending beams will need to be much longer for the 26 ft bed.
  6. My next project will be the Mack Granite built up as a Michigan Logging Truck (logging trucks vary in design based on regions in US). This will be my second logging truck I have built, so hopefully better than the last. The inspiration comes from Lutke Logging Company which is just down the road from me, so I have gathered a ton of reference material and pictures. This truck will be scratch built using parts from two donor kits and a lot of aftermarket parts including Texas 3D new printed frame rails. Dual steering axles, two rear air lift axles, two drive axles, 26ft bed, scratch build logging crane. Reference pic. Parts collected Mack Granite cab kit
  7. Really nice build, well done
  8. Trying to replicate a local trucking company who mounts their air lines mid-frame, using a box to mount all the lines
  9. If you are doing this conversion, there are issues with the engine compartment. Engine/trans located, had to shorten fan hub and fan mount to reduce the length. The radiator has to be moved back in order for this hood to fit. I also had to shorten the radiator and modify the mount to lower it about a 1/4 inch, otherwise the radiator is too tall, raising the Cab mounts was not an option. I could not use the plastic radiator hoses, so I made my own from flexible tubing. Cab and headache rack are now mounted. Got stuff to finish everywhere.
  10. Wow, love the weathering, nice detail
  11. Have not heard any more on Dave’s stuff. I still have a few to build, wish I had purchased more.
  12. Like where this is going.
  13. They do, but as you know very well, it is the difference between an average build and an outstanding build. The effort pays off.
  14. Detailing takes so much time. Brackets made and mud flaps on. Got the diamond plate walkway painted, ended up copying a local trucking company by moving the air/electrical hookups further back, building a box to house them. Will direct plumb the lines to the box with quick disconnects for the trailer. Found some 2mm aluminum farrows that fit over my hose material to replicate the fittings. See how that goes.
  15. Outstanding work, well done
  16. Wow, that is a stunning build, well done.
  17. Making progress, got to get the hood fitted, build the grill.
  18. Interesting build, love the fabrication work.
