  1. Trailer done, now back to truck to finish.
  2. The mock-up is so important, allowing you to correct things. Well done.
  3. Pictures with trailer just completed.
  4. Getting the load strapped down using a photo etched kit. Get the tank strapped down tomorrow and trailer will be pretty much done, then wrap up truck.
  5. Nice work on the wheels
  6. Making decals for the first time, what an experience. First I went to the internet found some labels and copied them to a Freedom app which allowed me to size them, can’t print from the app so I did a screen shot. I then printed to 8.5x11 Steven’s water slide decal sheet (blue sheet) but print was grainy. I then printed to some cheap Hobby Lobby water slide decal sheet (had to cut down to 4x6 to fit my old printer photo paper slot) and it had a much cleaner/brighter print. Still learning, gotta be a better way but it worked.
  7. Received the tires and steering rims. Need 10 road tread tires for the trailer, need four wide front rims and four wide tires for steering axles. What I am short yet is 10 wide rear singles for the trailer.
  8. Starting to get all the parts in, steering lift axles and tag air lift axles just came today from A&N. First time using their parts.
  9. What’s going on with the bench today. Building lifting clevis for the tank from aluminum craft wire.
  10. This is Cooper, he has to go everywhere I go and invades my space. Cooper turned 3 on Sunday.
  11. That’s a sharp truck, nicely done
  12. Agree, those details really bring life to a build. One of the aspects of building that I have put little effort into is creating decals. I really need to start putting effort into that aspect for sure. Learning how to add weathering would be my next shortcoming. The excitement of learning new techniques is what keeps us building the next project.
  13. Enjoy watching your builds, nothing is off limits to modify ?well done
  14. Tank finished, maybe a couple small details, but done. Next to build load straps from photo etched parts (3 on tank, 2 on pallet) and also build strap bars for the trailer to hold down load.
  15. Very cool project
  16. Thanks David, agree the crate would look more appropriate if it had labeling, just not sure how to do that. Any suggestions would be helpful. I may do an antique wash on the crate to give it a worn well used look.
  17. Load for the trailer is coming together. All of the parts finally arrived and assembled. First coat of primer on, tomorrow will do some finish work and paint.
  18. Wow, beautiful build, very classic
