You are right... not a very good kit and the green plastic is nasty, but this is the second one I have built so I new where most of the problems were. Cutting the dash back about a 1/4 inch solves the major body fitment issue.

I bought this kit just for the traction bars to use on the build of the replica of my old street machine from the 70's. I completed that last year and thought I may as well put this together too. I did my version of a SS 454. Cheers DanL

The decals were quite a job. They were pretty good quality so that helped, but they had decals for everything... even the door handles!

Great kit from Tamiya. Very well designed and a real treat to build until the very last step of fitting the body on the chassis at which point it becomes a nightmare. So many kits fail badly in this last step and often all your hard work get ruined as you fight to complete it. I would still give this model a 9 out of 10 for the fit, finish and final result. Almost all parts need to be painted separately and there are over 60 decals to put on but in the end it is a very satisfying build.
