  1. Could that have remotely to do with the fact that there has been a diecast avalanche for the past quarter century, but at the same time hardly any new kits were tooled? You can't be surprised that there is no market when you have destroyed it in the first place. Besides, I admire the yawners for their stamina. I literally fell asleep during the "presentation".
  2. Do the windows turn clear when wet?
  3. Yeah. Even weirder is that I don't want that kit.
  4. Not sure what Yodel was thinking when they decided to kit these, but whenever I see one of those Mopars appearing on a telly screen, I know exactly that its seconds are numbered. Great box art, though.
  5. I take issue with you responding to my post.
  6. Maybe everyone should stop posting anything at all? This will ensure that nobody is offended.
  7. Porsche Typ 64 or 60K10.
  8. Yes, the b pillars will be reinstalled.
  9. They might have wanted to base the kit on the old annual back then and deep sixed the project when they found out it's a Bonneville. However, they then newly tooled a Catalina, but never dug up the Polyglas Gasser idea again. That Round2 brings it out at this time is somewhat ironical for me, since just a few weeks ago, some petrolheads my age and I had a lengthy real ale fuelled discussion* about ye goode olde Polyglasse GTse and how much we loved to smoke them up in the Eighties when we dragged a car out of a field that still had them fitted.
  10. I do hope so too, but am concerned that the scale limits sales by its very nature. There is only one serius 1/32 collector/builder I know and I think these kits were predominantly hoovered up by the slot car folks in the olden times. The big question is whether they can still entice those slotters, if only for nostalgic reasons.
  11. Today a parcel arrived. Inside was this: And a box: This was due to me having found this on eBay: Now, it's always risky to buy such "restorers", since you never know what they hide and whether they are still fairly complete. But it's the only way I can afford those old annuals. Also, I couldn't bring myself towards building a minter. This time, I was lucky again: Apart from one wheel cover, all parts to build it stock are still present. Even the instructions and decals are still there: Teaser: Mock up: The worst damage is some glue spots where the fender skirts were attached, an easy fix.
  12. I thought the mod stock is a '66?
  13. I especially like those Mercedes Barock wheels they do. I wish there were some models I could put them onto.
  14. As shown at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. Don't ask me, because I don't know it either.
  15. I just stumbled across this by coincidence. It's news to me, so probably an old hat for you guys. It's a company in Ukraine (I bet you have guessed that from their rather creative company name) that makes all kinds of 1/18 and 1/24 accessories and some interesting 1/24 scale transkits, like for example this estate conversion for the Hasegawa e36: Online shop and international shipping as a matter of course, because outside USA. 16. My youth happened to be in the dark ages of the plastic kit history, so I have intentions to relive it.
  17. I'm quite convinced it is the promo tool, I think all the Motor City Stockers were. It's quite well proportioned, but sure no match for the Revell snapper.
