  1. ...and speaking of long overdue.
  2. Revell 49 Mercury... I looked it up and 2011 was the last time around.
  3. 1962 Chevy II Nova convertible was what my dad was driving when he met my mother but he sold it because she got too cold in it.
  4. Oh... you can never have too many louvers! Would the 29 Ford pickup hood fit the newer 29 roadster?
  5. Well to be honest, I thought it was 12 years ago but it was closer to 15, I dropped off a hundred kits and assorted resin at the Tucson Goodwill when we didn't have room for them when we moved. I'd already given away to a member of Model Car List a couple ĥundred when we'd left Portland. Now I'm back near Portland and started up again last August. I hope those kits in Tucson had found a good home but I sure wish I had at least the Revell 49 Mercury's still...
  6. That was also a time of great punk music, a lot of that music was in reaction to Reagan and Thatcher being in office.
  7. ...received from my son, it cracked my wife up.
  8. Never would've thunk it... https://www.goodwillfinds.com/search/?q=model car
  9. Perfect. Very slight weathering, giving it a "worn in" appearance. Great build.
  10. Plymouth wanted to steal Mary Kay away from Cadillac perhaps?
  11. "Days of Wine and Roses" was a Jack Lemmon movie directed by Blake Edwards and music by Henry Mancini but it was no "The Pink Panther".
  12. 7Horse...found them awhile ago. Americana with a sorta punk attitude slammed head first with Rock-a-Billy.
  13. Spiderbait...Black Betty. (I feel dumb but I can't identify the car in this video.)
  14. Four cool pre-war Fords, guitars and beards... ZZ Top.
  15. They may have done it in April, just 4 months after last year's event but ours is still in December. https://www.motortrend.com/events/the-race-of-gentlemen-flabob-airport-2023/
  16. I agree, my work this week has me upside down, messing with my sleep as I'm getting home when I'm used to waking up. I only had 45 minutes today but I brought my 29 out, did some sanding on the body, resprayed the trunk and I'm in a much better space. Still exhausted but happy for the moment.
  17. 1984 was the year I graduated high school but recent years seem to be more reflective of the novel than that year was.
  18. I can definitely understand your method in understanding if an engine kit will do well or not, on the other hand, I honestly think that there is more of an interest in modified Nailheads than in stock. The LS engine as well as the slant 6 have quite a lot of possibilities in dropping them in. Though I suppose you could drop a stock Nailhead in, there aren't many good early Buick kits and it's not something I'd drop in an early Chevy... but they were popular with early hot rods and drag cars, not as popular as a sbc but definitely used. Just like the early Caddy engines but cheaper. Again, you need to focus on what is going to be profitable and I hope your focusing on Texas 3D Customs is working out for you as a livelihood...
  19. Looking great.
  20. I'm not sure what blowers were available with the Nailhead and I do think that your stock Nailhead is really well done...but I think that most demand for Nailheads are probably for hot rods not building stock Buicks. Just my 2 pennies.
