  1. Your Mercedes looks amazing. In some ways it kind of reminds me a French Delahaye. What year and kit is the Mercedes?
  2. Rest assured those 6 carbs will turn up when your finished and your car is sitting on the shelf. ? You build is inspiring. Love what you've done so far. Cheers
  3. I think you are correct. I hope mine turns out 1/2 as nice.
  4. 700R4 is a great upgrade from a Turbo 350 or Powerglide especially mated with that ZZ$ 350. Are those wheels American Racing? That's one nice, clean looking 70 El Camino!!!. Thanks for posting and sharing....
  5. Love these Duesenberg, Cord & Auburns. I wish there were more available. About 20 years ago in Bangor. Maine I picked up the Lindberg 1935 Auburn Boat-tail which I have not yet opened the box, let alone start to build. But hope to soon. I will be watching this thread, love the direction the build is going....
  6. These are great cars. My neighbor and car cruising buddy has a 1968 Charger with 383 Magnum V8. Nice car. When I'm cruising with him I can hardly hear the rumble of my 327 over his 383.
  7. I only wish one of our local newstands or hobby shops carried your magazine. Too bad Michaels doesn't carry it as there are three Michaels within a short distance from my home.
  8. Incredible work on this kit. Love what you did...
  9. Awesome job on lowering the front and work on it. One thing I noticed is the absence of a front sway bar on the model. I have 4 of these 1960 Revell multi piece body kits. I purchased them 20-30 years ago really cheap on a shopping trip to Bangor, Maine. One kit I started to assemble shortly after purchase but lost interest. About two weeks ago I decided to tackle one kit, leaving two kits still unassembled . I'm painting the body of the kit I started 20-30 years ago as well as the one kit I started. However I did somewhat butcher one of the frames with a bad attempt at tubbing it.
  10. A few screen captures of the Flying Saucer 3D model I created in Groboto 3D ver 3. And also when I imported it into Blender 3.1 to show the topology...
  11. Fantastic collection and some very rare cars like the 1923 Stanley, 1908 Mitchel roadster, 1912 Hup Yeats Electric and a Duesenberg as well. If I'm ever in Edmonton, I must visit this impressive museum and an Oliers game as well, hopefully against my beloved Blues... Thanks for sharing....
  12. My two favorite years for Camaros; 1969 last year of the gen1 Camaro and 1970, the first year of the gen 2.
  13. I've always been fascinated by the Buick Grant National & GNX as well as the Olds Hurts from the same era.
  14. Like your art. Very nice indeed.
  15. Impressive image. Love it!!!!
  16. Dust & Smoke A traditional styled hot rod coupe leaves a cloud of dust & smoke as it travels along a rural country dirt road.I created this illustration digitally using Rebelle 4 (sketching & painting), Photoshop CC 2021 (contrast, color adjustment & resizing) & my Wacom Intuos 3 stylus & tablet.
  17. Nice work Big John!!!
  18. Flying Saucers Attack Teenage Hot Rodder I created this 100% digitally. I sketched everything (except UFO) using ArtRage, a fantastic painting program much like Corel Painter but costs a quarter of the price. I modeled the UFO in a 3D modelling app named Groboto 3D which is now defunct as Groboto has become Mesh Fusion and part of the 3D modeling app Modo. A screen capture of the UFO was brought into ArRage where I painted over it. Further tweaks were done in Photoshop (contrast, color correction, cropping, adding signature, etc). I created this for Jalopy Journal's weekly Friday Art Show.
  19. I purchased this kit over one month ago from Michaels. You getting me motivated to tackle this 66 Stang...
  20. A photo I took of this car in the mid to late 1970s when it was a drag race car. Original photo was taken with my Yaschia SLR fil camera and in 2017 I scanned to digital via my Epson scanner.
  21. I really love that "Pearl Plum" color. Hood off looks pretty cool to me. Perhaps you could bend a piece of sheet styrene into a hood top and see how it looks with a hood with no sides. Nice work on these two cars.
  22. Looking mighty fine. If the carbs fit under the hood and it's a street vehicle, I'd go with no scoop. But you are the artist and it's your canvas. -)
