  1. Yeah, this looks like an Ohio car for sure... My 1st attempt at rust.
  2. That is a great looking build. The paint is amazing!
  3. That is amazing! I really love the color.
  4. I have an AMT rebuilder I would trade. It's been stripped, and ready to go. You could always make a windshield out of a clear plastic bottle or acetate.
  5. I'm looking into that. Unfortunately our VFW & Legion buildings are on the small side, so vendors might end up in the parking lot. That's why another show I attend changed venues, they quickly outgrew the space. I tried to get the Teamsters Union Hall, but they don't rent it for outside events.
  6. Thanks for all the input guys. I'm definitely not giving up.
  7. I've reached out to several local churches, but not having much luck. One said no because they said it was a "for profit" event, and another said no because I wasn't a member.
  8. That's kind of ironic. I work right next to an airport (at a place that builds airplane seats).
  9. Beautiful work! That green is perfect for this build.
  10. That is not only an awesome feat of engineering, but a lesson in scratch-building as well. All wrapped up in a beautiful blue paint job!
  11. That's beautiful! I love that color, and how you complimented it with the wheel centers. Another detail some builders overlook is the sanding of tire tread.
  12. That is a great looking build. The paint is beautiful!
  13. That's awesome! I love your creativity, and the extra detail you put into this build.
  14. Beautiful work! I remember watching that show.
  15. That's a really cool "oldie but goodie" build!
  16. We here in NC have lost a couple of long-running shows, due to issues with the event spaces. Whether it's new owners or "politics," it saddens me to have lost these events. It seems like unless you have a connection of some kind, with an event space, you're just S.O.L. I'm reaching out to churches, but not getting anywhere. I also have a contact in the local school system but have not yet received a response. My home church has some ground level rooms, but they might not be large enough. I enjoy the fellowship of these events as much as competing in the contest. It's interesting how far people will travel to attend or put on a show/swap meet. I'm not ready to give up, but it's starting to get frustrating.
  17. great looking old truck! Those wheels & tires really look amazing.
  18. That is absolutely gorgeous! I love old ambulances.
  19. Great looking build!
  20. Excellent build. That paint is amazing!
  21. That's beautiful! The two-tone looks amazing, especially since you matched the interior& exterior.
  22. Very nice! I love the two-tone, and how you carried that over into the interior.
