  1. That is a gorgeous build! Is this the kit that also has the V8? And is the plaid inlay a decal?
  2. That is pretty sweet! But it still is a nerd mobile, lol.
  3. Thank you! I thought it looked like a 50's color, with a custom touch.
  4. It doesn't have to be a name brand, the store brand regular (unscented) bleach is fine. The Dollar Store kind does absolutely nothing. Like Les said, it works almost immediately. Then rinse and wash with Dawn, and you're good to go.
  5. Hey Friend, I have the 69 Dart. Would you prefer a rebuilder? I have both. A sealed "Special Edition" 2 N 1, and a built up of the silver box art picture kit. The built one is dark metallic green, with a white vinyl top and interior.
  6. I get good results stripping chrome using bleach
  7. I was going to suggest blue to match the exterior, but the black looks good as well. I love those baby moons though, sad to see them go.
  8. That paint is amazing! An all black interior is difficult to pull off, and that looks great! I love to see women getting into the hobby. My granddaughter used to build with me, and I miss that. I hope your lady continues to build, she seems to have a natural talent for this.
  9. I appreciate the heads up. I guess a lot of test fitting will be in order then.
  10. Wow! Totally different bad experience than mine. My wife and I bought a house last year, and used U-Haul. com to book a local crew to load and unload our truck. We picked up and drove it. All they had to do was load & unload. They never showed up at our old house, claiming they just got the order that morning. Luckily my step-son showed up to help with the heavy stuff, or I would have been stuck with only female help. The local boss man said he would come himself, if he had to, since all of his crews were booked (yeah, he never did). Our appointment was for 8:30 am, and two guys finally showed up at our new place at 12:30. They did have us totally unloaded, and belongings placed in the right locations by 1:00. But we had to pay full price, and were promised a 50% refund. Yeah, that never happened, and the boss man refused our calls and blocked our numbers.
  11. I would love to have one of those myself. I have an 87 F-1504x4, with that exact engine & a manual transmission. Looking to build a replica.
  12. Yeah, I can attest to the U-Haul.com moving experience. Not a good day for me.
  13. Wow, that's amazing! I never would have thought about making this kit a surf wagon. Killer paint!
  14. Miami Vice all the way! Very realistic and beautiful build.
  15. That's a beautiful build ! I especially love the green paint. I have one of these in my stash, might have to dig it out after seeing yours.
  16. Beautiful paint, and color combination! I was originally going to comment that you could shave the mounting pins for the front suspension, but looking at pic #2, you can see a gap between the body & frame. That makes me agree with the previous comments about the interior tub/firewall area.
  17. Very nice! Being from northern Ohio, I saw some really nice cars just rot away. So I haven't been able to bring myself to reproduce that in one of my builds, but I may have to try my hand at one (using yours as inspiration). I think it's way more difficult to produce a convincing weathered look, than a bright shiny new looking build.
  18. I love your color combination on this ! I've always loved the Edsels, and your beautiful build makes me want to do another one (Restomod this time?).
  19. I love the older Z's! Great choice on the color, and a beautiful build too!
