  1. Gorgeous color contrasts with that interior. Top job!
  2. Excellent build Thomas. Engine, drive chain and tyres beautifully executed.
  3. Nice work on a Jo-Han classic! Always good to see these especially when done well like this one.
  4. Great model, cool background. Jolly good show!
  5. Yeah Nah

    Barnmobile

A REAL barn find! Amazing creativity and building skill.
  6. Yes. Yes it was. ?? One of those kits that seems to have hardly anything in the box but takes forever to build. I've got the Piranha dragster/tow car double set that I was keen to start soon but I think I'll let the trials with this one fade from memory first.......
  7. This hobby gets the best of us occasionally Steve but it obviously has it's hooks deep enough in for us to keep doing it. The Duke boy's Charger can survive multiple launches (at least supposedly) but clearly our 1/25 plastic cars can't survive even one! All considered, your Duster still looks pretty good.
  8. Thanks Bill. And I have to say those quotes on your post strike a chord mate. ?
  9. Thanks Alan. Like your student, I myself thought ''this thing sucks'' but just put it down to AMT-itis. I wasn't aware of the Vicky interior tub history of this kit until Brian pointed it out in an earlier post.
  10. Couldn't agree more Craig. I use the cheapest tube type ones thinned with blue glass cleaner (Windex). Main downsides are opacity not great so taking more coats and time to cover; and until the clear is on not durable so absolute care needed to not bump or scrape on anything. BIG upside is I can reproduce virtually any factory color a full size had.
  11. What a gem! Thanks for showing these wonderful models Pico.
  12. Thanks for the kind comments all. These AMT Trophy re-issues are just dripping with nostalgia and I love 'em. Thanks Round2!
  13. Nice gasser Chad! This 3D printing thing is really opening up endless possibilities.
  14. Looking pretty darn good Dave. Hoping good sales of their current range will have DDA expanding it to maybe include one of these:
  15. Looking better and better Greg. As you said earlier, that side trim sloping is not really noticeable until someone points it out, but you've put it right nicely. Do you pre-shade the door/trunk panel lines on all your models or just the light colored ones? I'll steal your idea for my own models!
  16. I most likely wouldn't have bought this kit, but it was at a bargain price so I snapped it up. Am I glad I did! Despite the usual hassles of getting full shell bodies together, I ended up with a model that takes pride of place on the shelf. Comes with cool 'spy' extras like cannon sticking out the front; weapons tray behind the passenger cabin; front and rear roof mounted laser weapons; the centre instrument cluster can be built 'flipped' around along with the glovebox lid displayed open to show spy stuff plus rocket launchers in the gullwing door fronts that would no doubt be a lot more effective if you remembered to open the doors out first. BTW, the real thing was a Gene Winfield design built by AMT and NBC for the popular 60s TV series Man From Uncle starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. Here's a link for more info: https://www.c-we.com/piranha/page4.htm By a sad co-incidence, a couple of days after I started construction on this, the passing of David McCallum was announced. Thanks for looking!
  17. Love it! Love it! Despite the usual AMT fit and build issues (which to me are something I'm quite prepared to put up with) you've ended up with a little gem Zack.
  18. I first thought the top four pics were the real car you were basing your model on! But, no........ Simply stunning.
  19. Beautiful Elky Marc. Paint and chrome gorgeous.
  20. What a beauty! That engine.......?
  21. Wow! Stunning work Craig. I real joy to view.
  22. Love that color and finish! Super job.
  23. Amazing standard of work here. Warning: don't let the ends of those battery leads touch! ?
  24. Thanks Helmut. After doing this I'm looking for a 2nd one to do a drag version!
  25. Beautiful! 100% convincing.
