  1. I've made them from aluminum tubing, but that is nice!
  2. That thing is sweet! Great build!
  3. ..........progress report rough in/mockup of something that resembles a 4 link/wheelie bars and Dana 60 (I used the pro street GTX for that) .Changed from rear steer to front and cobbling up a rack and pinion,,it should clear the headers if not I have to use solder to make them.Cobble up front disc brakes, rears were still drum. Fab up front motor plate . Start some body work-fill the cowl vent /fuel cap/side markers / I have to trim the rear wheel openings a bit ,,,the actual car had them stretched a bit anyway .Guardsmen Blue paint ordered from MCW which I believe is correct ,,the red will be decals with McCandless lettering ........hopefully it will all come together,,,lol .Oh yeah I used the Nova pro street kit for the floor pan/chassis wheelbase is darn near perfect.Hemi will have D5 heads and tunnel ram and deep oil pan from a JoHan pro street cuda kit/3D print headers (if they clear ,,its close in mock up)
  4. One of the wheelie bars broke ,not enough time to fix so Buddy Martin made the decision to pull both bars off
  5. yeah they have Reid on one sheet and Whisnant on another and Plymouth by Sox & Martin on another ! so I got those ,,,lol and a free one
  6. Looking for Reid's 72 Pro Stock Duster decals,,,I think Slixx did them wayyy back ...not sure
  7. ...........was pondering my next build all day while working outside,,,lol yeah I know I said maybe a truck,,maybe Ray Barton's SS/AH Dart ,,,but then I remembered why I got the Demon kit in the 1st place,,,so tonight I got this pile on the bench ?
  8. Being retired I have all the time in the world,,,lol ,,,actually I'm only in the workshop a few hours at night and when I can't work outside around the house
  9. 68 Road Runner to GTX conversion done,,my only regret is that this wasn't a JoHan body with more correct proportions .I'm using my new backdrop kit from STS Decals ,,,looks better with this than on my slobbered up bench mat ! The air cleaner pie pan is incorrect,,should be Super Commando ,,,,don't have or could find any,,,Fred Cady might have made them ,,so instead I used one of his 440 Magnums ,,,for a Dodge and the last pic is when I realized I forgot the drivers side mirror! lol ! On to the next build...... maybe a truck,,,or maybe the Ray Barton SS/AH Hemi Dart ........hmmmm
  10. Got mine on Tuesday ,,good stuff inside!
  11. Nice build! I still need to do mine !
  12. I had ordered some decals early April ,,never got them,,sent emails and text messages,no reply,,unusual because Bruce usually responded within a day....they showed up the other day with a note from I guess his wife saying "I hope I got this order right,,,Bruce passed away a few weeks ago "
  13. That thick resin cab makes me want to start my Fleetstar build....... maybe ,,,lol
  14. ...........BMF applied ,tail light panel painted out ,interior bits painted,,,had to use 69 GTX seats ,,different pattern but they'll do
  15. 68 Road Runner to 68 GTX conversion update > body shot with MCW 6753E Dark Green Metallic enamel with hardener (this is a match for 68 Plymouth GG1 Dark Green Metallic) .I was going to use MCG Vinyl Top Tape kit (which is only available in black or white ) but instead chose to go with MCW 1350 Black Texture Lacquer after applying Evergreen #101 styrene strips for the seams. After that had dried I shot it with MCW 6851 Dark Green Metallic lacquer which is a darn close match to the dark green vinyl top option that was on my car. I also sub assembled the inner fenders/core support/firewall and lower K frame (which will be painted black along with the torsion bars and shot that body color with overspray. Sub-assembled the 440 and shot that with MCW 1406E Chrysler Turquoise enamel . Next up will be painting the interior green with light and dark green seats ,then BMF the body and paint tail light panel insert Argent Silver . I'm also going to use the 8-3/4 rear from the AMT Duster kit instead of the Dana 60 ,,I'll have to narrow the 8-3/4 a bit.
  16. ............some pics,,,has to be wet sanded yet and another round of primer. The front grill I just stuck in there to check for fitment,,,I had to file the inner part of the fenders to fit it,,the 3D grill should have been more rounded on the headlight surrounds ,,not much I could do there but get it to fit the body
  17. What I do need though is an 8-3/4 rear can't find any 3D ones ,,,,the AMT 57 Chrysler 300 has a nice one but........
  18. I haven't been able to get anything from Keith Marks ,,,I got some stripes from STS and photo etch from MCG for a 71 that I'll use for the side GTX emblems
