  1. The chevrons have been retaped look a lot more even side to side. They have also been painted. There was some bleeding under the tape in a couple of areas , so after the paints sits for a few days those areas will be repaired.
  2. Thank yo! , it’s nice to be able to get back to working on this. Wasn’t able to sit at my bench for a few months.
  3. Thanks Brian, You have a good eye, the inlet/ discharge panel has not been glued in place yet. It is a snug fit and I placed it to line up the chevrons. However I still have not decided if I am going to do chevrons, or just paint the panel black to match the pump panel. In all my time on fire apparatus I have seen it done both ways, so I remain undecided. Options on which way to go would help.
  4. Wow, another great build to come, I will be watching this . Especially the boom part. I have wanted to build a Pittman Snorkel boom for a long time, but the task seems overwhelming for me.
  5. Charles , Nice work, and a nice addition to your fleet! Dom
  6. I noticed the chevrons were off balance from the left to right . I used a center line and a spacer for the tape, so I am not sure how it went off. I will be re taping the chevrons to correct it. In the mean time I am still waiting for the yellow paint to be delivered. So I started work on the hose bed hose loads. Yellow sewing elastic was used for the supply line, and the couplings are resin that I cast. I just need to clean up the hot glue threads that remain.
  7. Brian, every time I look at this and when I think you can’t add any more detail, you blow it out of the water. This model is a work of art and is of museum quality ! Simply amazing to the level of details not only on the plow truck, but also in the prep work with detailed notes! Dom
  8. Cab is just about done, need to mount the mirrors and either paint the light bars or try and find replacement ones that looks better.
  9. Thank you, it’s slowly getting to be complete. Just taped the rear for the chevrons now just have to paint them.
  10. Thank you Brian, Yep in real life this would be a beast, operating it would be a blast!
  11. The hot rod vibe sounds interesting, will follow this one
  12. Amazing! The level of details is that of a master model maker!
  13. Nice work, tank and platform look really good!
  14. It’s been awhile since I have been able to sit at my bench , but I finally got some primer and paint on the body. I decided to go with a yellow over red for this build. Still need to paint the rear of the body. The yellow took a few coats to cover the grey primer and I ran out, need to pick up another jar. I used Tamiya lacquer with an airbrush.
  15. Scott, looks like this will be a nice build ! I remember almost all of the garbage trucks around Essex county were leach and Mack chassis. But that was a few decades ago, lol. I think I may have to place an order with Global for some cabs. Dom
  16. Looking great as always Charles , detail always amazing .
  17. Nice build! I will be following this one. Gives me a few ideas.
  18. Excellent build Scott , looks great
  19. Charles, I will give that a try. Thanks for the tip
  20. The hose loads and the inlet and discharges are installed. It took some time to make them and then cast in resin . I noticed a few of the gauge decals fell off. So they will have to be replaced. Progress has been slow, but it’s getting there!
  21. Charles, sorry to hear about your arm, get well soon
  22. Scott, exceptional build, well done!
