  1. Thank you Jeff! No those lights were not from the kit. I found them from a vendor on eBay. He has all kinds of emergency lights and in different scales. I will send you his contact information.
  2. The ladder rack was added, I also resin cast some 5 gallon foam buckets. The ladder was painted , have to try and figure out how to make a miniature pulley for it
  3. Thank you Jeff also very much appreciated!
  4. Thank you Gary , very much appreciated!
  5. Scott, looks really nice, good solid build as always.
  6. The wood floor deck looks really nice, also nice job with the body. Looks good all around
  7. More progress….. the end of this build is in sight. The kit light bars were slightly modified by adding a thin piece of plastic to the bottom of bar, the bar was hollow. A piece of foil tape was added before it was glued on to hopefully reflect a little .
  8. Thank you Randy, added a few more details. Pics will follow soon
  9. Scott, Nice work on the frame and cab. Gonna take a guess with the blue cab and go with BFI maybe ? Or after merge with republic.
  10. Fixed some of the defects where the paint bled through. Working on the intake and discharge panel.
  11. Thank you Scott, I will see if they have anything I can use.
  12. Progress has been good, almost at the stage it will be complete. New dilemma is where to put it. I am out of room in my display cases. In my 35 years in the fire service, I have seen it many times, where people slam in to emergency vehicles. It doesn’t matter how many lights, cones, chevrons or vehicles in blocking positions. They still hit us. Especially in today’s world with so many distracted drivers. At night it’s the worst with impaired drivers.
  13. Gary, really nice work on the headache rack, every thing looks perfectly spaced
  14. Great looking frame! Looks so much better than molded plastic .
  15. Nice details on the interior and the controls
  16. The chevrons have been retaped look a lot more even side to side. They have also been painted. There was some bleeding under the tape in a couple of areas , so after the paints sits for a few days those areas will be repaired.
  17. Thank yo! , it’s nice to be able to get back to working on this. Wasn’t able to sit at my bench for a few months.
  18. Thanks Brian, You have a good eye, the inlet/ discharge panel has not been glued in place yet. It is a snug fit and I placed it to line up the chevrons. However I still have not decided if I am going to do chevrons, or just paint the panel black to match the pump panel. In all my time on fire apparatus I have seen it done both ways, so I remain undecided. Options on which way to go would help.
  19. Wow, another great build to come, I will be watching this . Especially the boom part. I have wanted to build a Pittman Snorkel boom for a long time, but the task seems overwhelming for me.
  20. Charles , Nice work, and a nice addition to your fleet! Dom
  21. I noticed the chevrons were off balance from the left to right . I used a center line and a spacer for the tape, so I am not sure how it went off. I will be re taping the chevrons to correct it. In the mean time I am still waiting for the yellow paint to be delivered. So I started work on the hose bed hose loads. Yellow sewing elastic was used for the supply line, and the couplings are resin that I cast. I just need to clean up the hot glue threads that remain.
