  1. Thanks, guys...much appreciated!
  2. Nice build...I bought one on Tuesday of this week. There's a video online of one of these Mustang models attached to a stick on a weather balloon with a go-pro camera...filmed it all the way up...and all the way down and the model survived! Not sure how I will build mine. Likely do something like you and give it a different colour and detail paint to the body keeping it curbside. Here's the video on YouTube:
  3. Ooops...better go...the guard dog is interested in what I'm up to...
  4. 2 Monogram kits used - Mustang 2+2 and GT350R. Built to depict a weekend warrior hobbyist racer's car. Used Tamiya TS-14 Black from the can with 2 coats of Future before decals and one coat after decals. Dash glove box door cut out, radio deleted, rear wheel tubs cut out to fit the larger rear tires, wheel centres and exhaust tips drilled out, front dust caps added. No wires as wanted to build as a shelf model. Enjoy. (More photos here)
  5. Wow, the details are really coming together! You really got that Alcad working and looking fine! The hand grips, handlebars and levers look great!
  6. Hate to say it...but it's too nicely finished! It needs to be more beat up and weathered, in my opinion. They were fighting a battle...no time to shine up stuff...patch it and go! I do still love this! It always amazes me where and how you use what is at hand...low-rider wheels, tank halves, jewels, grebelies...great stuff!
  7. Thank you.
  8. 1/48th scale Tamiya VW Type 82E Staff Car, Wehrmacht Heer, Berlin, 1945. Nice little kit, had fun building it. All done with Tamiya bottle paint by various brushes. Weathering done using a home brew mixture. Black out covers on headlights were drilled out as was the exhaust tip. Enjoy! A few more pictures are in the album here. Comments welcome.
  9. When the current Charger came out I thought they should have just used the Intrepid name...then do a 2-door as the Charger...I guess 2 retro 2-doors would be one too many for the bean counters?
  10. Wow, very cool! I recently finished the Revell 1/144 Saturn V (as Apollo 11) and it stands about 30 inches tall...it sure took me more than 4 hours to build, too! Very nice!!
  11. Nice sled!
  12. Shiny!! Nice build, Jim!!
