  1. Done in a week, I think I hate you . What an awesome job. Seeing this makes me want to dig mine out and start it, of course it'll take slightly longer!
  2. You picked a great kit to come back with. I love the interior, that dash looks real! Great job.
  3. For the first one in decades? Great job. It's really cool you have a personal connection with this car, those are the most satisfying builds. Let's see some more soon!
  4. I found this today, check it out. You can get a doll printed of yourself! http://www.theverge.com/2012/11/11/3631874/japan-3d-printer-photo-booth
  5. Great find, I would love one of those.
  6. I saw that also on the Southern Motorsports site. Looks like a straight re-issue of the Torino. I have one in the stash I haven't built, but I know the PL Charger was a bear of a kit.
  7. I agree completely. I applaud what Round2 is doing and am happy that they are making a business of it! There must be enough of us out here buying kits to make it work.
  8. I'm not saying he shouldn't get punished, a rule is a rule. But $25K seems a little steep for that infraction.
  9. Really, $25K for a cell phone in the car?? They were just mad about his comments after the race. At least he wasn't texting while driving
  10. Excellent job! That is one fine looking model. Love the interior details, down to the shift pattern on the knob. Nice clean decal work, just a great job. I like it a lot.
  11. Slim pickins' I'm afraid. Stewart won't be leaving the Chevy fold, MWR is solidly Toyota. That leaves Ganassi? Petty? From what I've read a top-flight engine shop is the biggest stumbling block. If Dodge comes back they'll have to start from square one again.
  12. I agree with what Kyle Petty said after the race. They should have thrown the yellow after Jeff got in the wall, he would have had to come down pit road for repairs and cooler heads would have prevailed. They also muffed it by not throwing a caution after Danica hit the wall (not her fault BTW, 31 'pooned her). But I have to admit things were happening fast. It would have saved a lot of carnage at the finish line. I thought it was cool that Newman crossed the line ahead of BK backwards!
  13. Nice looking longroof, great color combo.
  14. They don't consider Penske a top team? Hendrick-Roush-Gibbs are the top tier, everyone else is fighting for recognition. I would love to see Dodge stay in it, would be tough to throw away the gains they've made to date. Maybe it was Penske that wanted the change? And yeah, if they win a championship next Sunday that will be tough to overlook as well. Almost forgot, a new kit of anything NASCAR would be awesome!
  15. Doesn't say on the box or instructions, but my guess is 71-72. Not a Ford expert by any means but it matches some reference pics I have in a couple of books.
  16. Old skool, nice clean build. Looks great!
  17. Awesome paint, killer ride. I like it a lot!
  18. Drew, hope mine comes out half as good as yours, great model. DW must have been awful young then, I think 72 was his rookie year?
  19. This is what I've got on the bench right now. I'm on a kick of older cars, I love doing the research and learning new things about the 'good ole days'. NASCAR outlawed the big inch motors around 71-72 and Ford had pulled their factory backing as a result. Bud Moore put a 351ci in a Torino and went racing, first with David Pearson and then Bobby Isaac in the seat. This is the car I hope to replicate: I started with the Johan kit I've had in the stash forever. I'm really impressed with this kit. I've built my share of Johan 'unassembled promos' but this one is really well detailed, especially the chassis. I raided the spares for a small-block Ford engine and tires from an AMT Thunderbird. I used the kit open steelies but widened them a bit to fit the tires. I've got paint and foil on the body. These are the decals I got from Southernmotorsports, I think they're Cady as they're multi-layer? I usually don't do WIPs as it takes me so freaking long to finish a build, but this one's halfway there so I may get it on the shelf by Christmas! Thanks for looking and comments welcome.
  20. This is one Kool kemp. Great job.
  21. Nice clean build. I love the backlit shots, those are hard to pull off.
  22. Great looking model, captured the real thing beautifully. It's cool when there's a personal connection.
  23. Sweet pickup. Looks loaded for bear (no pun intended) . Great job on the paint.
  24. They changed the "Bucket" a few days ago, messed me up too. Find the pic you want to post and click on the gear-looking thingie at the top right, then select 'Get media links', click on that and it copies it so you can paste into your post. Hope this helps.
