  1. Welcome Steve, I like your avatar! There is a lot to learn here, some fantastic builders/artists. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. BTW I sympathize with the Cutty Sark. Many years ago I spent about a year on "Old Ironsides" complete with sails and 14 different sizes of thread for rigging, I finished it but by the end it wasn't any fun anymore
  2. Nice model. I never cared for the 1:1, thought they were trying a little too hard for the retro look.
  3. That's neat, both look great!
  4. Very cool. I love the interest in older NASCAR models that seems to be growing. Nice job.
  5. Nice job, an iconic racer from another era. This kit is tough to get together and you did a great job, very clean.
  6. Thanks for the tip Wayne, I'm going to be decaling this weekend so I think I'll start there.
  7. That's Nice! Love the exhaust system.
  8. Great model, captures the 1:1 very faithfully. Put in the right scene it would be hard to tell its not the real thing. If you don't mind my asking, how did you handle the 'American Ethanol' decal for the fuel filler? I'm working on a COT at the moment and the decal looks like it won't cover the area down inside, just the ring around the outside of the filler. If you used paint for fill-in what color did you use?
  9. That Blue Deuce Fusion looks pretty cool!
  10. Awesome work Cruz. Flawless paint and just the right amount of weathering under the hood and on the chassis. Fantastic job!
  11. Great looking model. Nice job on the foil, I found it difficult around the side windows. Neat dioramas, I gotta build me one of those.
  12. Great bunch of cars, all of them look fantastic.
  13. Larry, if it were me I'd build at least one out-of-the-box first, then decide whether its worth the time and effort to correct things. I'd love to see some pics of your 1:1s for reference. I think Revell has hit a home run with this kit and am hoping it leads to more new tools in the near future.
  14. Very cool, I like the cycle fenders, engine looks great. All around great model.
  15. Like the first reply, WOW! Great model.
  16. I've got 3 on the bench and one in a box, waiting. Loss of interest is definitley a problem. Must be the short attention span due to too much TV as children
  17. I find it interesting that so many folks on here are also musicians of one sort or another. I wonder what the connection is? I myself played clarinet and baritone sax in school, then learned bluegrass guitar in the service, graduating to mandolin and learning the banjo. I also have a cheapie electric axe for pounding out some AC/DC when the mood strikes!
  18. Awesome model. Love the color, stance, and wheel choice. Just an all around great job.
  19. Nice job. Can you say "mail-slot"?
  20. Something about that photo looks doctored, besides the obvious missing Goodyear stencils on the tires.

    Triumph TR 2

Very nice! My uncle had a white TR3 that looked just like this, what's the difference between the TR2-3?
  22. Great start Niko. I'm going to have to look into those wheels/tires, they look really good.
  23. This is very cool. I've got the same 1:1 truck, small window but it's a short step bed. Where did you find the kit?
  24. Great looking car. Excellent job on the interior and paint. I like it a lot!
