  1. Clyde, when are you going to do a David Pearson car? Seriously, what a great collection you've got going here. You've got more Petty cars than I have cars, period!
  2. Thanks Jacen, I knew you would know. Great looking model Clyde. Your collection in the other thread is awesome as well.
  3. I love that rod. I have one of these in the stash and this makes me want to go get it right now. Great job on both!
  4. That's way too 'purty' to run 'shine. Great model!

    Vintage Nova

That is cool. Just the right touch of weathering.

    Vintage Falcon

I love this, great job! We definitley don't see enough short trackers.
  7. I assume there is considerable investment in the design files but you're right, there could be an infinite number of copies off one file. That would certainly bring the cost down and the ROI up. The latest issue of Time Magazine has listed the Makerbot Replicator 2 as one of the 25 best inventions of the year.
  8. If I am stepping on toes or using improper ettiquette, please delete. ajwheels posted this link in Big Boyz and I thought it was too good not to share. The parts look incredible even if they are 1/16. It seems 3D printing is a lot further along than I had imagined. I don't think you'll see one on every desktop anytime soon, but I can see enterprising individuals starting a business, ala resin casters? http://public.fotki.com/ajwheels/116-scale-ford-flat/
  9. That sounds like a pretty good solution. I would check over at Randy Ayers' site, someone over there may have or make what you're looking for?
  10. Thanks for the kind words. It's an old build and the decals have yellowed pretty badly. How do you keep this from happening? This car hasn't been exposed to sunlight and has been in a box for several years. I've noticed that several of my older builds have this problem, I wonder if it's due to the use of a lot of setting solution to get the decals to lay down over curves?
  11. I haven't posted anything for awhile so I dug around and found this, Harry's BGN car. One of my all time favorite drivers.
  12. I'll take the black one, very cool.

    1970 Buick GSX

Great looking model Gene, welcome to the club. What part of O? I grew up in Dayton, but haven't lived there for a long time.
  14. Not my cup of tea but great job. The weathering/paint work is outstanding.
  15. Wow! Those are amazing. It looks as though 3D printing is coming faster than many realize. Those water neck pieces and the block are incredible. You should post this in General, I think the responses will rev up quick.
  16. X2. My 1:1 project is this truck with a short stepside bed, in pieces in the garage at this point. Great job on the model!
  17. Great replica, looks just like the photo.
  18. Of kits I've built recently, the Dodge D-700 truck had some of the worst instructions. Basically a couple of exploded drawings.
  19. Nice looking car, great job on the paint.
  20. I knew we were all cavemen! George Carlin said we're all just monkeys with car keys!
  21. May I just say congratulations on both builds, they are excellent. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
  22. How long did Richard run a Buick? I know everyone went to them in the '80s because of the more aero slope-nose grill, then some went with Olds until the Monte aero sedan was approved.
  23. LOL. And maybe wash Snooki out of Jersey!
  24. I read this earlier today at work and was going the mention the Revell ASA cars but Tommy beat me to it. They are a good start, but some scratching will be needed.
