  1. I too love the mods. Half the weight and twice the tire of a Cup car. They have to put restrictor plates on them at New Hampshire! They fly.
  2. One thing I learned early on when I got back in the hobby, you need to paint everything. Each and every part that shows. It's a pain at first but you'll really notice the difference. Bare plastic, no matter the color, stands out like a sore thumb against painted parts.
  3. Nice job for your first. Decals on these cars are tough, but the more you practice the better they look. Keep at it!
  4. Call it empathy, not sympathy. I can relate to an idiot behind the wheel texting, I see it every day. It's an epidemic more dangerous than many!
  5. What a neat idea. I like how you think
  6. I love that era Olds. Looking forward to more...
  7. Nice tribute. Another promising star gone too soon.
  8. Great idea. If I had the room I always thought a small diorama of DOT would be cool.
  9. I hope nothing serious? We wish him a speedy recovery.
  10. Yeah I could have fashioned a different air-cleaner intake and used only 2 carbs, but 4 just look so much better . I used to drop the PG into 1st rolling up to a stop sign and then stomp on it, leaving billowing clouds of blue smoke in my wake. Ah youth and stupidity, I got about 100 miles per quart (of oil). I saw your build earlier, nice job. I couldn't remember if mine had the silver painted taillight panel or not, so I left it. I've only got one or two B&W photos of the old girl.
  11. Great job. I like the color and the wheels. Nice save.
  12. Very cool, love the longroofs. Excellent job.
  13. Junior in high school 1971. Bought it for $400, sold it when I went in the service after graduation to my great uncle who wrecked it about 6 months later. Dad wouldn't let me park it in the driveway because it leaked oil like a freighter from the "O"-rings at the end of the pushrod tubes. '66 Monza with the 110hp engine and Powerglide. Lot of great memories. Just finished tonight. This is the AMT 'Prestige' kit, pretty simple. I did put in the side glass and rolled down the driver's window for laughs. Hope you enjoy, comments welcome.
  14. Great way to spread the word. You've already got the gearheads at the car show, maybe their kids get interested in the models? Nice job.
  15. Great looking car. I love the shoebox Fords. You did an excellent job.
  16. Sweet build. I like these big Fords a lot. You did a great job.
  17. That is cool. Where did you source the wheels/tires? I assume the bed and boom are scratch-built? I like it a lot.
  18. Very nice, great job. Sometimes the simple kits turn out the best.
  19. Beautiful build Art. I love these Hudsons. I can't wait for Moebius' next one if it's as cool as these Hudsons.
  20. I like it, great 2-tone scheme.
  21. I made up an Excel spreadsheet for mine, a little over 200 kits not counting partials. Like others have said it's pretty easy to set up and filter/sort for what you want.
  22. I never thought of railroad boxcars as beautiful?
  23. This is seriously cool. Great job.
  24. That is cool. Great color.
  25. I like it. If they don't make it, build it yourself! Great job.
