Evidently the market for an all-automotive channel isn't there, capitalism will win out after all. I think it's indicative of the decline in motorsports viewing and interest in cars in general. Bummer.
Funny they were using wide-whites for the race and it appears the left headlight is still missing in the racing shot. Shows that you need to be skeptical of modern restorations, though. Great pics.
Hey Niko, this is the only shot I've found of the interior of Herb Thomas' Hudson. It appears the back seat is removed but no change to the front. If you go to Randy Ayers site and surf "Darkside" there are a lot of exterior pics. It also appears the engine is basically stock as well, I can't tell about roll bars but I don't see any?
Hope this helps.
I've been in cable TV for 33 years now. Started as an installer, moved up to maintenance (bucket truck), then to headend. Now I'm the construction coordinator building outside plant in our systems in central Vermont. When I started cable was 10 channels of off-air TV for $5.75 a month! Things have changed some.
What kills it for me is shipping. I have many kits I would sell for a song just to make room but by the time I figure in shipping costs they are not such a bargain for the prospective buyer, kind of the same thing you run into on ebay. I am going to list a few on there however just to see how it goes.
