  1. Love to see these classics! Very nice job.
  2. Very nice. And great photos too. Love the subtle weathering underneath. Can't wait to see what you can do once you're back in the swing
  3. What I get from this thread is that there are a lot of young people on this forum that buy and build. I think that's great and good news for the future of the hobby.
  4. Looks good, like many on the street back in the day. Nice color.
  5. I'm afraid the days of stylish personal transportation are numbered, if not already gone. Driving down the road these days you can't tell what they are unless you see a badge on the nose. Jellybean-shaped transport pods that you need a 2nd mortgage to purchase. This'll put a stake in the Chevelle nameplate for sure.
  6. I usually have a hard time taking myself seriously, must have been my upgbringing. I appreciate the knowledge you bring to the forum, especially on vintage NASCAR. Must be a Petty fan (and who isn't)?
  7. Nice save, the wheels/tires are especially nice. Davey was always a favorite.
  8. Nice ride. I love the fact that it's got a 6-banger, just right for cruising low & slow.
  9. I apologize! I meant if I'D read the thread title.
  10. That would be a sweet build! Decals look pretty generic, ought to be fairly easy to find.
  11. There's a convertible coming?
  12. Wow! Nobody will miss this one at the starting line. Very nice job.
  13. That is sweet! Very clean foiling job and just the right texture on the top. I'm going to have to give this polishing thing a try. What's your method?
  14. Those are great, they will help tremendously. I wondered about the holes in the bellhousing, must have been to ventilate the clutch? Thanks so much!
  15. Simply amazing. Great job on all. I especially like the F1 Lotus, the Chevy big cab, and the yellow Stutz (I think).
  16. I see that. But the color renderings on my sheet don't show the engine being gold, more of a cream color.
  17. Thanks guys! Gold it is.
  18. Sorry, no picture?
  19. I've just cracked open my present from Santa and started on the Hornet. The instructions show pictures but not a color call-out for the engine block. There it appears to be a cream color or possibly light yellow. A quick web search shows them to be nearly light gold. What is everyone using for a factory-correct appearance?
  20. Tough choice! I went for the hemi powered Vicky 'cause I'm a sucker for rods, but the Datsun is wicked. All of them are great models.
  21. That is just awesome. Need to get a couple of these, I'm jonesing already.
  22. High of 14F today, low of -10-15F overnight tonight. I know we got nuthin' on our Canadian brothers but it is cold! That's why I can get something done this time of year. Summers are too short for hobbies.
  23. I don't know the first thing about websites but it sounds like a lot of work. Thanks for all you do for us in the name of our beloved 'hobby/obsession'!

    1st of 2012

Should have been the last of 2011 but I didn't get it finished in time. '70 1/2 AMT reissue. Nice kit other than the fits the hood gave me, still ain't right but I raised the white flag and moved on. Love the small block, very detailed, and the separate subframe is perfect for 'clipping' any number of street rods. All and all an enjoyable build. Hope you like. Thanks for looking, hope this is the first of several this year.
