  1. Wow! Nobody will miss this one at the starting line. Very nice job.
  2. That is sweet! Very clean foiling job and just the right texture on the top. I'm going to have to give this polishing thing a try. What's your method?
  3. Those are great, they will help tremendously. I wondered about the holes in the bellhousing, must have been to ventilate the clutch? Thanks so much!
  4. Simply amazing. Great job on all. I especially like the F1 Lotus, the Chevy big cab, and the yellow Stutz (I think).
  5. I see that. But the color renderings on my sheet don't show the engine being gold, more of a cream color.
  6. Thanks guys! Gold it is.
  7. Sorry, no picture?
  8. I've just cracked open my present from Santa and started on the Hornet. The instructions show pictures but not a color call-out for the engine block. There it appears to be a cream color or possibly light yellow. A quick web search shows them to be nearly light gold. What is everyone using for a factory-correct appearance?
  9. Tough choice! I went for the hemi powered Vicky 'cause I'm a sucker for rods, but the Datsun is wicked. All of them are great models.
  10. That is just awesome. Need to get a couple of these, I'm jonesing already.
  11. High of 14F today, low of -10-15F overnight tonight. I know we got nuthin' on our Canadian brothers but it is cold! That's why I can get something done this time of year. Summers are too short for hobbies.
  12. I don't know the first thing about websites but it sounds like a lot of work. Thanks for all you do for us in the name of our beloved 'hobby/obsession'!

    1st of 2012

Should have been the last of 2011 but I didn't get it finished in time. '70 1/2 AMT reissue. Nice kit other than the fits the hood gave me, still ain't right but I raised the white flag and moved on. Love the small block, very detailed, and the separate subframe is perfect for 'clipping' any number of street rods. All and all an enjoyable build. Hope you like. Thanks for looking, hope this is the first of several this year.
  14. Excellent job. Detail on the guages is sweet.
  15. Please add my condolences. My wife went through chemo and survived, I can't imagine what you're going through. Keep your head up and be strong for her.
  16. Great dio. Looks like you've been accumulating junk for years, exactly how my barn looks. Great job on the weathering of the car too very realistic.
  17. Looking real good Mark. I'm looking for 'bad Brad' to do big things this year. I haven't heard who Penske plans to put in the 22 yet.
  18. Outstanding. Love the holes in the dash and top frame details on the Chevy. Really neat!
  19. Cool wrecker! I see a lot of this vintage Dodges in these parts in various states of decay. Great replica.
  20. I too do not like the trends in wheels/tires these days. 22" hoops with rubber band tires just look ridiculous to my eye on anything. But it's all a matter of taste. Anyone remember the monochrome paint jobs of the 80's?
  21. I agree, what's the big deal? Unless it's the conspiracy by Gregg and Harry to rule the world?

    69 nova ss

Nicely done. Just the right amount of detail without going overboard. I like it!
  23. I've got an old TV repairman's tool box made from wood, top clamshells out with trays/compartments for tools, glues, etc. I'll see if I can get a pic.
  24. I knew a 'good old boy' would have the answer. Thanks Tommy. I wasn't sure if maybe Junior painted all his engines some color to make them stand out?
  25. The hinges, while not great, are not that bad. Just take your time because they are tiny and fragile! Wow, I look at this now (old build) and realize I didn't foil the vent windows. Shame on me...
