  1. Here's my '58. I'm doing all the Impalas from '58 up through that I can find kits for. Saving the '59 for last as it's my favorite. The first family car I remember was Dad's '58 Impala convertible. It was a late-model when he got it. He took us to McDonalds the first night we had it (golden arches, walk up to the window, over 100,000 sold!). I spilled a vanilla shake down the rear seat speaker (I was 5 or 6). He was not impressed!
  2. Any 30-50's COE would be fine by me, and a Mack Bulldog!
  3. Nice truck! The Chevies from 60-66 are some of the most popular in the 1:1 world. I especially like that it's a step-side.
  4. Looks good! Nice black paint job. It would take me 3 days to get the bird decal on the hood
  5. This is the gist of it. If it's your "job" (means of livelihood) and you get paid for it, then by definition you are a professional. If you do it for fun, relaxation, stress induction, whatever, then you're an amatuer. There are plenty of amatuer golfers, carpenters, auto restorers, etc. that do better work than some so-called pros. Just because you do it for a living doesn't mean you're good at it.
  6. Nice job, one of my favorite cars. Just watched the HOF special on DW on Speed. He and Junior had a great run with these cars. How did you like the 1 piece decals for the sides and top? They were a bear for me!
  7. Thanks Mike, makes sense once it's explained. I learn something everyday (whether I want to or not )
  8. X2. Great job. Steelies and dog dishes are the best. Remove the R/T stripes and it would be the ultimate sleeper on the street. I love the trunk details.
  9. Way too pretty to be a push truck! Belongs in a car show. Nice job.
  10. Love the high-mounted brake light Nice touch. Used to see quite a few of these in this condition when they were late models. Great job.
  11. WOW! Nothing else to say.... I love the Bentley and the Bonneville streamliner in particular, just amazing.
  12. I followed the WIP on this, great job. If that's what you can do with dexterity-challenged hands, I can't wait to see you after recovery. The working hood pins alone are impressive, and it looks like the decals came out great. Kudos!
  13. Great looking replica. Nice color, just enough extra detail under the hood. Impressive, I like it a lot!
  14. OK, I'll reveal my computer illiteracy. How do 'tags' and 'keywords' work exactly? I've seen them but don't know what to do with them (if anything).
  15. This is just way too cool! You do great work, the trailer and odds & ends added really make it stand out. I used to have a window-van version of the Dodge while I was in the service, the most fun vehicle I ever owned. Sitting on top of the front wheel with that big, flat steering wheel was like driving a bus. I'm gonna have to get one of these. Thanks for the memories and again, great job!
  16. Just whatever I had lying around. Brightest red I had on hand, probably some hardware store brand.
  17. Nice. Sometimes you get something other than what you want, and it turns out better. Engine looks very realistic. Looks like the old ZZ Top Eliminator.
  18. That's very cool, nice job of bringing it back to stock. I've always liked the newer Caddies.
  19. Clean, sharp build! Wouldn't want to see it roll up in the mirror
  20. Very cool! Nice job on the bed. Is that a resin cab or...?
  21. I haven't posted anything for a while, so I thought I'd put this up. Built a couple of years ago, the Monogram double T-bird kit. Fords were at a definite disadvantage with the flying brick body and little if any factory support. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.
  22. Nice kustom. Especially the dash detail
  23. George Carlin said the Japanese have already invented "everything", they just dole it out to us in small increments that we can afford. Once everyone had a Walkman, they went to CD. Once we all had CD's, DVD's. Now ipods. I think I see where this is headed?
  24. Love to see these classics! Very nice job.
