  1. Almost forgot about it till I watched it Wednesday night, the '60 Plymouth Fury from In the Heat of the Night. Very awesome movie. I know the people driving the car are the bad guys but boy they got a nice car.
  2. Basically done school till Sept. just one day next week and 2 final tests
  3. Mail delivery yesterday $26. Finally got one after waiting almost 4 years. Originally had some sort of idea to attempt putting an engine in it but kinda lost interest. Then I watched the 2003 movie, Secondhand Lions, and saw the relatives' 1959 Imperial four-door so I thought a four door conversion could be a cool thing to do but after the '83 Cadillac and '61 Meteor conversions I think I'm just gonna take it easy so thisun'll be a two-door, though still greatly inspired by the car in the movie. Also, this kit is the first brand new kit since my '66 Thunderbird kit in January, 'cause since then I built two secondhand kits and then rebuilt 5 of my own kits so I totally forgot how it was to open a fresh new kit with parts still in the bags. It was nice. And a little wierd.
  4. Awesome Lincoln haul; wow; can't wait to see whatcha build outta them. Also; I've got that same Shelby Cobra kit, builds up real nice, and even though the decals are from 1988 (or 89?) they surprisingly weren't brittle; at least back in 2021 they were still good.
  5. There's quite a few around here; some guy in the subdivision next to ours has a mint black one
  6. Did you spray over it with red or is that still the pink colour; either way it looks pretty darn cool
  7. A change from the Cragars/thin whitewalls it had before. Also brightened up the trim since I had used some flat grey at the time of the original painting. Still not a huge fan of the "Marauder" white script I put on originally but I don't mind them. Felt too lazy to scrape them off.
  8. Another vote on keeping the colour; it looks pretty cool in that shade of pinkish red. Also the street machine style looks spot on.
  9. I had the same thought of doing a '60, but yes someone would have to print the grille and tail panel for it since I didn't think I could use any existing custom parts like I did on this '61.
  10. Sun no clouds or rain from now until Sunday.
  11. Oh I like this; looks very distinguished.
  12. Thee (hopefully) last snow of the season happened last night. It was a big one and it took me an hour and fifteen minutes to shovel my grandma’s driveway before school. Pleased because from now until Sunday is sun sun sun and high of nine degrees Celsius by the end of the week.
  13. Yesterday picked out some new tires/rims combo for my ‘64 Marauder as a change from the Cragars and white walls it had previously. Also going to re paint the chrome trim as I had used flat grey for some reason (no idea) because I have since got a hold of proper silver a while ago. And I gotta re glue on the mirror that fell off the fender.
  14. Also the '66 Chevy from Men With Brooms was pretty cool for a four-door
  15. I like the '63 T-bird, out of the '61-63 Bullet Birds generation because of that crease on the body not present on '61 and '62, plus the addition of those hash marks on the doors. This grew on me too... many may not like Exner's Chryslers, but I must say I do quite a lot. If I was a man back in the early sixties I'd be a Chrysler guy most likely. '62 Dodge to most is very hideous and for a while I kinda though the same but now I think it looks pretty cool. I also like Dodge's version of the Valiant, the Lancer.
  16. Be cool if someone 3D printed a '70 Marquis 2-door hardtop body compatable with AMT's '70 Galaxie chassis. Just a thought; I'd be first in line to order one.
  17. That's cool; love seeing our native cars from time to time. The '68-69 Beaumont is definitely a car on my list of ones to own.
  18. Lookin' good I dig it
  19. Watched Secondhand Lions yesterday; boy oh boy they were showing all my favourite cars.
