Boy I think if I pick up a car that's in good running condition but cosmetically challenged i'd drive it around because you don't have to worry about chips'n'dents

Also went to Walmart earlier today I got the February issue of both Hemmings Classic Car (pretty sure it's the Feb. issue) and Collectible Automobile, as well as a hotwheels 1966 Riviera because why not. Thought of hittin' up the local junk shop to see what vintage kits are left as we haven't been there since May sometime but they're closed on Sunday. Next weekend.

I did manage to find the photos of the car when it was originally restored in 1987-88. The first photo is what the car looked like when he got it, looks like fall 1987. The next is when body work had been done, late spring 1988. And finally the car as of fall 1988 all complete, with the original colour resprayed instead of the "midnight turquoise" paint from the above photo. You'll also notice the lack of wheel opening trim; he had found some from a '66 many years later and are now present on the car.

Got to take the Arctic Cat out for a little jaunt this afternoon; just around my grandma's as she has open space for that sorta thing. Also, never too old to build a snow man, did the first one of the season today. Once I get a photo I'll add it on here.

Back in grade 11 photography class I had to re-create photos in the style of photographer Robert Frank; I had chose photos in which cars were always present as subjects, but since his photo taking happened in the 50s-60s, I wanted period-correct cars to re-create those photos and so I called upon my Great Uncle to supply his '65 T-bird and interestingly enough my grade 11 English teacher's father happened to have an SYC '68 Chevelle (clone?) that I was able to have in the photos, so here are some photos of those cars I took for the assignment and for fun.
