Pretty darn close; it was a '62; I like the way the push buttons are arranged vertically

A photographic storyline about some penguin who steals a 1991 turned 1983 Cadillac lowrider. Starring: Penguin as "Himself" and Guy the Man, as "Car Working Guy" Typically no words just photos but for the sake of context, the photos are described. Well, here's the show... We see Guy working on a '32. A Penguin pulls up in a Buick He gets out Guy looks over Penguin tells guy there's touble with the Buick. Pops the hood, shows Guy the engine Guy leans on in Penguin closes the hood on him Penguin decides which nearby car to escape in *chooses the Cadillac* (don't ask why he take an atrocious Caddy instead of that '68 Camaro; the doors even open and it's wayy faster) Gets in it Drives off leaving Guy underhood Guy gets himself out Sees Penguin drive off Calls 9-1-1 (so what he has a large phone) The Italian Polizia are summoned Here it comes (yo what is this vehicle anyway?) The Chase begins Here's our sponsor (Coca Cola) Oh hey whatch out Turn! Turn! Turn! *collision* Polizia catches up Police cheif comes out (OK i have no actual policeman figure from my childhood so I had to use a matchbox '59 dodge [pretend it's an upright human]) Reads the Penguin his rights Handcuffs him (LOL) Caddy get's Tow Truck'd Arrives back at Guy's shop *unloads* Caddy hath been safely return-ed (The End)

Currently have no kits to build so I was considering ordering a kit in the future; just wanted to ask what's the 1966 AMT Thunderbird kit like? Is it good to build, does it look nice when completed? I'd like to see a photo of a built example if anyone has one. Back in 2022 we went to look at a '66 'Bird for sale that needed restoration, so I had this cool idea of how I'd want it to look, but we decided not to get the car. So I want the kit so I can build the 1966 Thunderbird that I saw in that real prospect buy. Also, the 1965 AMT Thunderbird kit; I've only seen original '60s kits online so I can imagine AMT hasn't got a new cast out yet, if they ever will; unless does anyone know if in the near future the '65 will come back? Was hoping to build it just like my Great Uncle's '65 'Bird.

Well, here it is. Picked it up in downtown St. Ignace this past October and it was the only one in stock. This is AMT's "Polyglas Gasser II". Started the build on Sunday, finished last night; pretty quick build; though I actually tried to take a slower pace, painting the most detailed interior since my 1965 Bonneville, and actually waiting a day for paint and glue to dry. Took two photos of it last night in our "Winter Scene" that we display on our hope chest for Christmas. But this morning I took it to my grandma's house, displaying it on the '60s furniture, and took it out into the snow. Total was 29 photos, but here's 27. Really photogenic car. This is the first kit I built that when chrome valve covers were an option, I didn't use them. I wanted a nice, simple stock look, and so the same colour valve covers were used, and they look good under the hood. The kit came with white letter tires, white wall tires, and bonus redlines, but I wanted plain black wall tires, and so these were sourced from my 1977 Pinto kit.

Beter is actually a word, looky here: "One who beats or whips, a flogger, also a boxer (b) one who grinds spices; one who beats cloth, a fuller; a metal-worker."

I know with my Great Uncle's '65 'Bird, he paid $300 for it in 1987 and he was I believe the fourth owner, but he usually refers to himself as the second driver, because by the time the car was sold to the second owner, it was in rough shape and needed restoaration that didn't happen. Then passed to the third owner; left it on his front lawn; never did anything with it, and then my uncle got it and he actually restored the car by 1988, and became the second owner to actually drive the thing. It wasn't really a basket case; there's a photo of it when he got it before restoration, but it was pretty crusty.

It's funny though too because there's a surprisingly healthy population of Corvairs in town here; I think a few more than the 7 or 8 '69 Camaros around here; so they are pretty popular little machines; I don't hate them; in fact I have great admiration for the '60-'61s as 3 '61s cruised through the jungle of the Darien Gap back in 1961 and 2 made it out alive. Real hardy cars
