  1. That's the main reason I wish certain vintage kits were reissued because the originals are either unobtainium or have a collector's fee of around $200 for a kit that really isn't any different than the latest kits just that the plastic and everything else is 50+ years old. Here's a possibly stupid question, why can't AMT remake the molds; there's still '62 Galaxies driving around that could be referenced and with the technology we have these days you'd think it would be pretty easy to re-create all the parts in 1:24 or 1:25 scale
  2. Yeah I was just going to convert it to a four-door and make it look like the one my grandfather had.
  3. Like the prespective photography; car looks good from here too.👍
  4. Some two dudes from across the street helped my grandma and her 2007 Kia Spectra get unstuck from her driveway; twice. Coming back from shopping she got stuck and then we pushed her out only for her to get stuck again a little ways up the driveway. Snow's been melting here via rain over the past three days so the driveway is just slush and gravel.
  5. Ranch-ero falcons are nice cars
  6. Yes the picture is of an original kit; I meant does AMT have a new release of the kit. I know it was re-issued in 1969 but I don't know if it has since then
  7. "Is the '62 Galaxie kit only original issues or is there a new release"
  8. Tonight I may start on the 1966 Mustang kit my dad brought home from Value Village last night that I didn't know about until 7:22 this morning
  9. So surprise, my dad picked up yet again another '66 mustang fastback kit, this time from Value village. This will be the third one I have, the first two being both Shelbies, namely the GT 350 and Hertz version. This one is actually also a Hertz kit but since I've already built one, this 'stang will be built however I want. This is also an "attempted to be built" kit, as it was atrociously painted red with a brush, and the unpained interior was glued in. I have never built a '66 mustang that handn't been screwed around with, so i've got the procedure down pat. Looks like all the parts are there so it should be good to go.
  10. Really liking this; been scrollin’ through the forum looking for the ‘66; wanted to see a built example before I get my hands on one, and I must say I can’t wait to build one, yours there looks really nice.
  11. Really nice build; love the colour and white stripes; how did you get the bumpers re plated? Is there like a technique or did you bring them in somewhere
  12. That’s a good kit just finished one last week; can’t wait to see yours 👍
  13. Yo this is actually the smartest thing I've seen on the internet
  14. Boy I think if I pick up a car that's in good running condition but cosmetically challenged i'd drive it around because you don't have to worry about chips'n'dents
