Also quite fond of the 1965 Dodge Polara/Monaco/880, as there is this guy who lives a couple doors down from my grandma's, and he has (had?) a beautiful 1965 Dodge, painted light olive green, with a very light brown, almost white vinyl top; has to be one of my favourite cars in town, but I haven't seen it there since 2020, so I don't know if he sold it privately or if he's doin' somethin' to it in the backyard, but I really think it's still there. Also at a show some old dude let me sit in the front seat of his orange 1965 Dodge Polara and take photos of the dash and stuff, so that was neat. I didn't take the photo you see below, but that's the car.

I've seen a '68 Fury coupe in town; super nice car. I know that Johan had a '67 or '68 Plymouth Fury 4-door police car kit; may be able to make a convertible out of one of those

Getting increasingly more curious about these era Mopars, as I have came across several in town, as well as seeing some nice examples sell for an average of $10,000, and I also like how sharply styled the cars are. Especially interested in the 1967 Chrysler Newport, as there is one in town long awaiting restoration it seems, and I had just read in Hemmings Classic Car about 3 such cars found in a warehouse and that further hightened my curiousity on the reliability and performance of the 1965-68 full-size Mopars. I have a couple photos of locally sighted cars; I know they're 18 feet long, but like big cars for some reason. When my parents look at cars like that, they see a Limo with 2 doors. I see art on wheels. What do you guys think about the big Mopars of the '60s? (If you have or sighted any '65-'68 full-size Mopars, feel free to share any photos you may have.)

I painted redlines on the tires of a Ford Pinto model kit back in 2022, and I am still waiting for them to dry! For kits, pre-padded white or redline tires are obviously best, but even decals work; just applying them is sometimes a pain.

I picked that issue up recently, too. Good read.

Bought the amt 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona kit; a neat find. It’ll be a while before I build it as I have a ‘61 Galaxie show car waiting in the wings. But it’s an accomplishment just getting it.

It was at least 3 years ago I did the whitewall bike tire, but it may have been tremclad; not the best choice for rubber, I realized that after I spent an hour painting both sides. But for the redline I used some other paint; don’t have the can with me but I know the factory that makes the paint blew up or something so you can’t get it anymore, but it seems to be working so far.

Used to have snowshoe hares; in our back lawn always chowin' down on clover, stared seeing them in 2017, but haven't seen them since 2022. It's neat because they turn white in winter. One was rather timid and I could get right close to him, and even the baby was mildly trusting.

I am never sure if painting tires is a good idea or not. Yesterday I painted a redline on the back tire of my circa 1971 Skyline bicycle, and it seems to be holding up nicely; there was a stamped moulding on the tire so I was able to do it neatly. It is mildly tacky and drying good. But I attempted white walls on another bike once, and after a day the paint turned pink and then peeled. In terms of car tires, I wouldn't have ever thought of it, but at a recent car show there was a '49 or '50 Meteor that had painted-on white walls, and I didn't know if that was a good idea or not. What do you guys think?

*MOLE MOUND UPDATE* There are now several mounds close to the first one, and it seems to come back the same time every day, and today I saw it pushing up more dirt so I tried to whack it but I think I missed. Same time tomorrow I’ll catch him for sure.

You're right, stckers/badges applied by the dealer can be in stupid places, and the Mustang is a perfect example; I don't mind the big "Highland Ford" sticker on the side, but if you look closely on the car above the Mach 1 script, there's another small one right above there, and when I saw it I was like, "that's a dumb place for one" and it didn't make sense because there's already the other one. But they're cool to take or peel of and keep around.

Yeah I was thinking at least 12K or something around there. It is actually road-worthy already; I've seen it on the road, but also the guy smokes in those cars (he owns the black '61 T-bird, too). They are for sale, but I really don't think he wants to get rid of them.

These are my dad's old A/FX cars and tracks. He got the Blazin' Brakes set for Christmas 1981. A couple years ago, we found and bought another Blazin' Brakes set, and a Daredevil Hazard set, though unfortunately that set had no cars. All the cars run great, and thanks to the new Auto Word ice road tucking set, new back tires were applied to all the old cars, at the expense of the transport trucks that came with the new set. My dad wrecked the Camaro when he was a kid, and painted it red, so when we found the Pit Kit for the 1970 Auto World Camaro, a tribute car was in order.

*MOLE MOUND UPDATE* Went back to the mound about an hour ago and there was more dirt, but also a crow footprint in the dirt, and two little paw prints (probably one of the neigbour's many cats) so I'm not the only one out to get the little underminer

I read over the little details stamped on the tire and the only obscure codes were "1335" and "H78-15"

Picked this up in 2022 at our local vintage junk shop for $60 bucks. It is an original 1959 Olds 88 friction toy. Went and took some more nice shots of it. It actually still works, but it sounds atrocious.

No, the tailights are just there as reflectors; they came off my grandfather's '74 Ford truck

Came across a mole mound (grandma’s yard) but then the dirt started moving so there was actually a mole there as I was watching. Going to check the mound periodically tomorrow to see if I can play some whack a mole.
