I lost my father 19 years ago, and mom's not doing so well, my condolences to you. Very commendable you taking care of him, and more so in keeping him in your thoughts. Sorry for your loss.

Great looking build, good job all around. I like the body color, and the fact it's in the engine compartment, that's how mopar's are supposed to be(pet peeve of mine).

Very cool car, not many people get a second chance of ownership with something like this. 6.14 gear, 6000 plus rpm. That's a buzz saw of a 265. He did his homework searching out the lightest model, too. To me, these classes are the most interesting and fun to watch, and research about. lots of fine tuning and tweeking to keep things right on that ragged edge. And the fact he beat Glidden, that's 2 wins in one.

I think you're correct, I zoomed in and that looks like a handicap plate.

moebius ford truck kitbashing question

Without detailed picture's with measurements, or another builder that's done the same, it would be difficult to say. I understand working within your means, and with a "favorite canvas". Most swaps need some trimming, build up ect. Some almost drop in, other's its almost easier to completely scratch build. Going from a one piece chassis to multiple or Vice-Versa will most likely snowball into more work elsewhere( interior, engine placement ect). Just some things to think about. I'm all for people trying different things, learning and having fun. Kinda the point of a hobby. I'm not familiar with either kits, so this is just food for thought. -
I see a bit of the nascarlo going on here, cool idea. I've got a couple nascar kits just for the same, I'm thinking an old Hudson or Mercury. Looks great so far.

This is what's known as an oxygen thief. What's the fine for parking in 2 handicap spaces? And who "hard parks" a Kia? Are we 12 years old? They should have come out to this.

Had the same issue a few months ago, wife has one of those wireless chargers, held me over till the parts showed up from amazon. 20 bucks, 20 minutes one youtube video and I fixed it. Might be worth a shot?

Heard about this on my way into work this morning. Horrible for the families involved. -
That was the altered wheel base video, correct . If so I watched it. Cool technique, yet another way to do something. And another tool for the arsenal, so to speak.

Great choice with the engine, I'm dealing with the same issue with my current build. The paint and chassis look killer on this. 👍 -
Very classy looking 56. The black and red combination really sets the look perfectly. Well done.

Stupid question, maybe too late, but there is a leading shoe, and a trailing. Did you reverse them by mistake?
-
Beautiful. Awesome color.

I fully understand this technique, on certain jobs in my profession I've welded blocks to plates in order to push/pull them into place, either with clamps or hydraulic force. This is similar, and as long as the "stiches" aren't too tight and methodically spaces, MOST stresses can be controlled and minimized. I like the idea, there's 1000 ways to get something done, this is another tool in the belt.
