Bummer, man. Hopefully you can save it, and the tint looked good.

I use my dremel as a makeshift lathe, any small holes/features are drilled/made by hand. I feel I have more control that way. I'm "old-school " in that regard .

Ollie's strike again

Ollie's finally had something! Picked up the '32 and the last jaguar. Almost grabbed dom's gtx. -

Your picture is a stock engine bay, the other image has an intercooler(procharger) set up. Yours is probably a better picture for reference

Gm might move it around depending on what it's in. I'm curious now if it's in the same spot in my truck. If any of the photos you looked at were of modded engines, it was most likely removed.

100%. I've had vision problems my entire life, and my profession doesn't help. The more lighting, the better. Using magnifacation has taking me a bit to get used to. -
I like the two sided tape idea.

That's my favorite(sarcasm). If it isn't terminal, repairable or remedied with hard work, then don't complain about it. Same goes for things outside of one's "business" or "control". I think some are just wired to cry.

Great job so far, and moving along nicely. 👍

You could spray glue some down on popsicle sticks, wood skewers, ect and make up some custom "tools" if needed. Something I do as needed.

Like mentioned above, the one's I have purchased from sprawlmart are pretty a course(spelling) grit. I'll check when I get out of work. I use glass files for most of my finishing work, so I need something to move material fast.

I've got a very large collection of tweezers, and recently my wife has these sticky pen type applicators used for diamond art. They work pretty well. Pinning things is a plus like mentioned above.

At least she told before it ruined the calipers, things start getting expensive quickly. And incompetent shops are all too common today.

Awesome interior. 👍👍

My first car was an 83 Monte Carlo CL. Grandma edition. 300 bucks, Flintstone floors. Lower doorskins would nearly hit traffic around corners. I actually "borrowed" the wheels off of my brother's iroc to get it home. 25 odd years later he still doesn't know.

If you go for it, you shouldn't be disappointed. They're great riding cars,as other's have said. Those seats are basically a sofa. If the go fast bug bites you, they are pretty much bolt in hot rod material in a luxo-barge container. I think that one will clean up real well, and look very presentable with a bit of elbow grease. The exterior looks like typical 80's gm paint. It gets "chalky". I'm sure a few of the other posters here know exactly what I mean.

Just a thought, have you tried looking at Ebay. My plan with these is to try and pull some molds and cast parts, I've got a few "what if chrysler built this" projects dreamed up. I bought this one from a seller there, it was a little pricey, not horrible.

The heads, belts ect came in the 70 superbee prostreet, I've got one in the stash. Not sure if those parts came in any other kits.

Very cool. Only a few small blemishes, that's a win in my book.

Crawling on the floor is an inevitable situation in modeling, its written into the universe.
