  1. Always fun to see "sports cars" put away. It takes a bit more dedication and work when your car weights two tons, plus I tend to like "different", everyone knows the vette, camaro, ect is "fast". That wagon looks like its a handful.
  2. Today is almost over for me, for some it's just beginning
  3. Always liked this body style. They are great platform, and not a dime a dozen. You all have/had good looking cars. I particularly like Steve Morris' wagon. That thing is insane.
  4. Dipstick should have followed the w.p.s., I wouldn't be cleaning his mess
  5. This came out awesome. Great looking patina.
  6. This showed up today, can't wait to attempt this.
  7. I like the warlock. I bought the same drill bits, make sure the smallest ones are actually sharpened. The carbide ones work great, make sure they are marked for size.
  8. I have a good friend that works for fed-ex, he's "middle management" or something, you guys get run through the ringer. Especially around the holidays.
  9. That is just horrible
  10. Retirement is a ways away for me, if at all. As for anything else, just wear and tear from working for a living, and being stupid in my youth. I like to think staying busy and active keeps you going.
  11. 4:30 guy here, usually. Working at 6. 11-1130 lights out. Thankful for coffee and this particular job requiring time to cool off between welds.
  12. I'm pushing through it, almost done with this job and things will be back to normal. It was just a perfect storm so to speak, I'm the only guy in the shop with the certs, and whom the boss trust to get it done correctly. It's a re-work from another shop, so fixing someone else's mess. Thanks for the understanding and tips, chronic pain is something I want no part of. Carpal tunnels crummy enough.
  13. Overtime at work, dogs usually don't bother me that early. The sleep deprivation is catching up. Week 3.
  14. Waking up at 2 am irks me.
  15. Restaurants near me have gone down in quality.
  16. I've had NAPA color match paints for me in the past in an aerosol can, some stores are able to do this. You would need the paint code from the vehicle to match the color. It's a bit pricey though.
  17. I'm Always paranoid about that happening. Crummy luck. The wife has these little mesh drain covers, I still go as far as to use two large Tupperware containers, one to soak, one to rinse. Carpal tunnel and nerve problems in my neck make my dominant hand useless at times, so it's "belt and suspenders" for me. Any idea why the epoxy didn't hold?
  18. Nice setup you got going, lots of space. How do you vent your paint booth? Is that a filter it's on?
  19. Her voice I find annoying, but the song gets to the point Dumbest-things-on-wheels.mp4
  20. I try to paint the surface as it lays on the car, if that makes sense. Your distance, pattern, travel speed and pressure will come into play, and sometimes that's just not possible possible. I have a few(4) different airbrush types/styes I experimented with till I found what worked for me. The solvent crazing is/can also be what you're seeing.
  21. I'm in the same boat. "If I knew then what I know now"...
  22. The subject I would most like to build never existed, so I've been told, and the closest one avaliable has been modified into a dirt tracker kit, so I'm in a similar situation. Maybe one day I'll build it. Good luck with your search, I hunt flea markets and the like, if I ever see one, I'll grab it up.
