  1. Looking great!!!! I like the changes you're making.
  2. Thanks again, everybody! Thats great!! I wish I had thought of that....you even got me thinking about redoing mine! Lol.
  3. Thats really nice! Don't see too many of these. Not sure why, it's a beautiful car. I had a '73. Well done!
  4. Ok, a little further research leads me to believe that ALL of the early MPC Nascar kits had that intake, even the Fords. As far as the scribe line under the hood, the best fix is to fill it with baking soda/superglue.
  5. If I'm not mistaken, I do believe the original Cannonball Run Chevelle kit had a bathtub intake like that.
  6. I disagree with everybody else, Lee. That kit is junk. I'll be making a run to the dump next week, if you'll send it to me I'll be glad to toss it in there for ya........yeah, THATS the ticket.....
  7. The Missing Link site hasn't worked in awhile. Best way to contact him is through his Ebay store. http://stores.ebay.com/missinglinkresincastmodelcars
  8. Yep, I was trying for the taildragger look, but that was as low as I could get it without reworking the chassis, exhaust, floor pan....you know, minor stuff that I just didn't have the ambition for, lol. Anytime, Glenn....call me, you got my number!
  9. Push the door handle down to lock the door, lift it to open the door.
  10. Thanks again, everybody!
  11. I'm guessing it is a urethane-type basecoat, I don't think they use lacquers for touch up anymore.
  12. Thanks, Y'all. I normally build race cars and street machines, but this was a very enjoyable build.
  13. I thought I'd try building a mild custom for a change. This is Revell's '48 Ford coupe, built about 90% out of the box. Instead of the Flathead, which IMHO is slowly becoming too "trendy", I decided on a Nailhead Buick out of the parts box. Wheels and caps/bands are from the '32 5-window. The biggest issue I had was getting it low enough...I still would like the rear to be lower, but that would require major surgery! Headlights are frenched in, and taillight bezels are made from aluminum tubing. Paint is GM Chevy Trailblazer touch up paint purchased for $1.00 at a yard sale awhile back. Interior is red and ivory.
  14. Whatever serves the purpose. I'm not picky.
  15. You're welcome, Dave. Glad you were able to use it.
  16. Yes, was looking to buy, but the guy never called me back. I guess he changed his mind.
  17. NOW we're talkin!!!! Thats exactly what I need!
  18. Lol...you must be feedin' that thing pretty good, I figured it'd be dead by now!
  19. I'm with George, it actually hurts to look at it, it's so realistic! Love the hanging weatherstripping!
  20. Hey, for what it's worth, the movie "Days Of Thunder" is loosely based on Tim Richmonds racing career, and his relationship with crew chief Harry Hyde and car owner Rick Hendrick.
  21. Yes, he was one of the best. We met Tim at the World Crown 300 one year, and he was a nut! Lol. Had he lived, he would have at least as many wins as Earnhardt....probably as many championships too. Keep the updates coming.
  22. Very cool model, and I, too, find this generation of Camaro to be the most attractive.....as a matter of fact, I'm supposed to go look at a real one this afternoon.
  23. Looks good, but didn't the tires have yellow letters by '97?
  24. Looks great, Lee!! All you need are figures of Chuck and P.T. sitting in there!
