  1. I got my sailplane Pilot's license in 1986. Gliding is something you cant describe, you've just got to do it!
  2. Hey Mike and Sam, thats great to know we have this in common!!
  3. I'm with ya on this one! I find it almost impossible to get one together without big problems. I was doing final assembly on a 32 Ford about at hour ago. Despite close to a million mock-up and test fittings, and after making sure it was just right, the body and firewall dont fit the frame properly. I had to put shims on top of the frame to square up the back of the body, and the firewall is being completely redone. Aaaarrggh!
  4. This must be the nicest duild up of this kit Ive seen. Looks great so far! As far as cool/ugly goes, I think it was hideous when it first came out, but its been growing on me. I'm sorta leaning to cool, now.
  5. All of the AMT Trophy Series kits! Uh, this is a "what if" right? I could probably list 20 currently available, but I dont have much interest in them other than the Revell and Round 2 re-issues. I think I must be stuck in nostalgia. I really enjoy building kits I had when I was a youngster, but with the skill I have aquired over the decades!
  6. I think the best, if maybe not the coolest, was removing the ex from my life completely and getting custody of my son. It was relatively uncommon 20 some-odd years ago for a Dad to be an only parent. I was very very proud of that. Friends who didnt have children were perplexed with this, but getting my Son was the best thing I had done in my life.
  7. I think it might have had a sponsor logo on it, like Hillborn injectors, or a supercharger mfg, maybe a Cam ginder like this:
  8. Yep, thats it Cal. Your'e quick.
  9. Here's one for the racers!
  10. I knew that "face" but couldnt place it. The FIA part clued me in, and then I remembered its in gran Turismo 4. Just had to get the car list from GTPlanet.net and ther it was! I'll dig something up for you guys..
  11. I have two, and the frames are OK. However, the chrome on one set of moon covers is scuffed on all 4 of them. The other one has fine chrome. I've read that some people didnt get glass or decals in theirs.
  12. This is pretty wild. The black and green go well together, and I dig that attitude! I love it!
  13. Man, that looks awesome!
  14. I got it! 2002 Gillet Vertigo!
  15. I thought Morgan too. Hey, its not fair, we cant see what side the steering wheel is on!
  16. Beautiful job! That paint is reeeeeel nice!
  17. This is getting better all the time!
  18. I was hangin' out at the 'Stone in San Francisco a lot. I kept telling Lars Ulrich that he better sober up or the band wasn't gonna make it!
  19. That IS different! Got any more pics?
  20. Yea great job, the Cobra's wheels and tires turned out nice!
  21. Thats the way I have thought of doing it! Im glad to see it worked for you.
  22. This is looking great so far! I agree with the others abut dropping the rear down a bit. What about leaving the tailgate open and mounting a parachute on it? I think that might make it look more balanced overall.
  23. Ka-Ching, we have a winner! Cal got it right, 2008 Beijing Automotive 700R! Your turn, Cal.
  24. This thing is BAD! I love how it sits.
  25. I kinda like the Juke, in a dysfunctional sort of way. But then, I had a troubled childhood.....
