  1. Yep its a reissue. First time since 1960. Supposed to have new tooling for the wheels and tires tho. Mine should arrive Monday. I cant wait!
  2. Fresh from the ebay listing!
  3. That rail is fantastic, Dave! Don Emmons was one of my favorites and influenced my style of building.
  4. I agree with the snap kit idea. All I finished this year was one snap kit. But it got me motivated again!
  5. I've got several rods in the fire and a vintage styline Ranchero I'm itching to restore!
  6. Just goes to show what talent can do for a dog of a model!
  7. My Hobbytown didnt have it, the T-Bird, the T'rantula, or the midget. Just what I expected. But they DID have a Dukes kit that has been lanquishing there for what seems like years! I got one on ebay this morning. I bought it at 10 ( there were 3 available ) and by noon they were all gone! I wish Revellogram had not made this an SSP.
  8. I put some $$ in the little red bucket for the first time in years. I was at the social security office earlier in the year and there was a serviceman in line. I went up and shook his hand and thanked him for keeping us safe. When I see and hear of the struggles builders from other countries have just to buy a model and supplies I am grateful to live in the United Sates and am reminded yet again how much I love our country. Hope thats not too smarmy for you guys.
  9. You are the master of conversions! What do you think about bringing the rear wheels a few inches forward? Something looks funny....
  10. Quite a nice line up!! Was the diner a kit or did you scratch build it? And have you got any more pics of the 49 Ford?
  11. That is an impressive lot of scratchbuilding!!
  12. Wow!!
  13. Great lookin' rod! Looks good seeing something other than the ususal whitewalls and steelies.
  14. This is not good news, being that the 'Ring has been my favorite hands down since reading accounts of it in Road&Track in the 60's. I flipped out ( in a good way! ) when I discovered it was in Gran Turismo 4. I sure hope they dont figure out its more profitable to till it under and put up housing and shopping centers like has been done here in California.
  15. I seem to collect ex-girlfriends
  16. Sure looks different in red. I like it!!
  17. How about sticking it in the freezer and seeing if it will chip off?
  18. I love that highboy, too!
  19. I like the attitude it has. Great job on the hinges!
  20. I was thinking that the Pyro 1/16 Model T's were rare- the Bull Horn, Gee Tee and such. Then I found a Gee Tee with skis!
  21. How about AMT's "Alexanders Drag Time" Deora? I've only seen that one in pics. The Mr. Speed Studebaker funny car using the Pirhana frame is pretty rare too. I had one when it was new and never saw another until one showed up on ebay.
  22. It looks beautiful, and I like that you used the turtle deck! That display is pretty cool too. This kit is one of my "grails" and I just picked up and unbuilt on a few weeks ago. Its great how you did it right out of the box, like it would have been done way back when.
  23. Good luck Rick. I truly mean that, as I went thru an ugly divorce in '88. When the ex finally "got it" that I didnt want to be with her anymore, she neatly arranged all my built models on the floor and stomped on them. Ture story. Some were survivors from the early 60's. It took me almost 20 years to get back into building, so I wish you the best in returning to making decals.

    70 celica

Ive been watching this progress, and Im glad youve got it finished. I absolutely love it! This is a real quality build, something missing in a lot of imports. Great job!
