  1. It seems to me one 60's issue was in a very pretty medium blue, nothing like the pale pastel blue of the eighties issues.
  2. I cant speak as to how his bodies are, but I bought a set of his modified wheels and tires and they're very nice! I just had to go pull them from my stash just now...no flash, no pinholes, very smooth casting.
  3. Yeah its squished. I've got one of these. I picked it up because I have a Super Beetle and it was the only kit made of it. I can get past the interior problems, but the headlights and taillights are pretty poor. And the nose, well it just doesnt look that much like a super. It should be a couple inches longer than a standard, which it isnt, and the shape of the trunk where it meets the front valence is all wrong. It's not too obvious with the bumpers, but I was gonna leave them off. All that being said, the rest of the body looks right on.
  4. OOOOOOOOO pick me, pick me!
  5. Theres one on eBay right now! http://cgi.ebay.com/resin-TRUE-RAT-ROASTER-426-HEMI-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-/150494599493?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230a2d5945
  6. I guess Im not as tolerant as I could be. It happens to me in both IE7 and Opera, and the little preview thingy is a red X. I'm getting quite annoyed.
  7. If the Hobby Shop wouldnt let you buy a tube of glue without your parents!
  8. Warning about Sculpey! It will melt into the plastic! I used some on an engine block to hold the intake in place for mock up and it softened up the plastic and ruined the block and the intake. Its been a year or so now, and the block is still sort of smooshy where the sculpey was.
  9. Wow, that looks good in that color!
  10. That thing just blew my mind. I must go lie down now and rest. Your skill is way beyond amazing.
  11. My store usually has the coupon flyer posted at the front of the store. I've asked the checkout person if they can get the discount if I dont have the coupons and usually the nicer persons have a pocket full of them and will give one to me.
  12. The way we did it in our shop was to install a small automotive muffler on the intake. Our compressor was a large 80 gal verticle and the muffler made a big difference. We also took it off of the concrete floor and mounted it on a wood base with rubber feet. The insulated closet sounds possible too, I would just make sure there is enough room around it for heat dissipation.
  13. If you dont mind resn, the Partsbox has them. http://www.thepartsbox.com/ Great quality stuff!
  14. I love this one, Chuck. One of your best!
  15. I like that kit. Should look pretty good wiht everything opening. I like some of the milder ones, they remind me of IMSA in the late 70's . Ck here: http://pinktentacle.com/2010/07/bosozoku-style-rides/
  16. Jeremy Clarkson did it in a Renault and didnt need all those German engineers nor any of the funny photography! http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r23944172-video-Top-Gear-Jeremy-Clarkson-Corkscrews-Sewer-Tunnel
  17. Traditional Rods and Kustoms in scale. Take a look! http://trakinscale.proboards.com/index.cgi?
  18. That looks fantastic!! You should show that to the folks over at TRaK!
  19. I use Aleen's craft glue thinned down, and brush it on. I first paint the area I want carpeted in the same color as the embossing powder. I use "Stamp Stuff" embossing powder which seems pretty fine, and the glue doesnt show any shiny spots. The best part is that if I mess up the embossing powder a dunk in warm water cleans it off and doesnt touch any paint!
  20. Here you go!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370394360039&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D370394360039%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370394360039&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D370394360039%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
  21. My neighbor has one. The first thing that poped into my mind (immediately!!) was "what a stupid lookin' grin"
  22. Looks like it just came off the track at Ascot. Great job!
  23. You have some exceptional talent there! The first time I saw that one in your avatar, I had to look real hard to make sure it was a model!
