  1. Number one is the AMT 32 Ford. I have around 26 of those, finished, in progress, and vintage untouched. Second used to be AMT's 40 Ford in all its variations, but now the AMT 25 T is number two. I have a bunch including a Cop Out glue bomb I'm repairing and an untouched Fruit Wagon.
  2. I just cked the chrome tree on my AMT 57 Chevy and it looks to be the same. If you have a pic of the back side I could confirm it. Beautiful wheels, eh?
  3. A couple more pics: Notice his car says "Big Willie and Tomiko" while hers is "Tomiko and Big Willie" Pretty cute.
  4. Yeah I sure do remember! The womans name was Tomiko. His car was red and called "King Daytona" while hers was green and called "Queen Daytona". They also had a 68-ish Barracuda with a superbird nose and wing, painted like a police car. He was in a car movie also, tho I dont remember which one. Could have been Hollywood Knights.
  5. So then I guess that in todays way too P.C. world, "loved by hippies" really means "ya gotta be smokin' some O' that wacky-weed to dig this one"
  6. You got that right, Ed, and I like my Crown and Coke over rocks, hold the Coke!
  7. Wow thats outstanding! You did a great job on piecing that body together!
  8. I think your too critical. I have always thought that the Predicta front end was beautiful, the unchopped top gives it a real vintage look, and I really love that chopped off tail end! Whaddya mean "almost looks good" ?? I'll take it off your hands if you dont like it!
  9. Pretty cool, Dave! I dig those twins!
  10. As for building customs, here are two vintage Rancheros I've got. The green one came from a friend on TRaK forums and the Maroon one is from ebay. Ive got the green one stripped and have redone most of the bodywork. I dig those old styline customs! I might just have to get me one of those 57 Chevy's!
  11. This is the first Black Widow I can say I really like. Well done Chuck!
  12. Here's mine so far. The Fury is OOB with the exception of alumimum discs on Monogram tires with painted whitewalls. The pickup was a pain in the butt. Nothing fit well, especially considering its a snapper. I used Monogram Early Iron wheels and tires, and scratchbuilt the surf board rack. I have the cop car and ramblurr as of yet unbuilt.
  13. The AMT Meyers Manx has one in it. The reissue is supposed to be available soon.

    32 Ford's

I finished this one up awhile back. Over the years I got so used to the AMT body that nowadays the more accurate Revell offering looks strange to me. And here are a couple in progress. SLOW progress!
  15. That is just so nice. I dig it!
  16. The Blue one looks pretty darn good for a "practice" model!
  17. When I read the title the first thing that crossed my mind was Mother, Juggs, and Speed!
  18. After looking at this for awhile, it dawned on me. Something must be lost in translation. I used to play Gran Turismo 4 on the playsation alot, and marvelled how they could get most of the Japanese cars rendered so well that they almost looked real, yet the American and a lot of British cars were way beyond horrible, looking incredibly childish and only remotely like the real thing. This Falcon looks like a playstation model. I think thats it, in my eyes. So there must be something to translating to Chinese that throws it off. Converting inches to mm's? I also think an "artist's eye" plays a part.Ive scratchbuilt a few things in my time, and long ago realized that just because something is technically correct by dimensions doesnt mean it will look right in 1/25.
  19. Yea Greg, I dont get it either. Way back when they were about 69 cents I bought a lot of them, however I could get an entire kit for $1.49. Maybe thats some of why they didnt sell well then, but today, I dunno. I sure wish they could bring all of them back. On a side note, I saw a picture of the Revell roadster speed equipment in resin supposedly by RMCoM. Do they really offer this?
  20. I really like this Bernard! Those seats are brilliant!
  21. Modelhaus has the spider caps. The AMT Custom grille set has separate teeth although there are only 10 teeth in each set. I Seem to think AMT had a grille with enough teeth in one of their kits but I cant remember which one.
  22. Very nice, very traditional! I saw your post on the put a face with the name thread, so, like, how old are you?
  23. AMT's 1929 Ford roadster also have them. Not sure if they are exactly the same as on Tom Krens T but they look like it.
  24. [quote name='roadhawg' timestamp='1301957197' post='44938 Because some scientist (with a taxpayer funded grant from the government, no doubt) said something like a fly died after soaking in it for 3 days, so it MUST be harmful. Crazy! I have a friend that would say the fly had thoughts and feelings too,, just like us, so we need to protect it. GRRRRR! She was potential girlfriend material about 10 or 12 years ago, and I thank the good Lord I never attatched myself to her. I could imagine my models being built with school glue and being painted with water colors......and watching Michael Flatley instead of Metallica!
