NIce and smooth, and better with no skirts. Those chrome rims work great on this! I dig it!

I would like to add my question. After clicking on "share", I dont have "image URL for use on other sites", only these two: "link to send via email" and "code for a fotki journal" . I have to right click on the picture, select properties from the drop down box, highlight the url, click copy, then go to the model cars website and paste it in. Is there something wrong with my account, or computer, or what? It is a total pain if I am gonna post more than oen picture. Do I need one of those Fotki accounts one pays for? And I dont want to use photobucket, I do not like it.

As for me, I am very disapointed the 57 Chevy is a re release of the newer tool. I heard tell that it was the original version with all of the cool vintage hot rod parts and wild custom options. I guess I'll have to get on online. I am anxiously waiting for the Manx, but does it look like the bodies are molded in metalflake colored plastic? Wow, that would be neat.

No, Harry, your not a jerlk, just mosconcieved. If I had to choose a way to die, this would be it! Seriously, I have considerable medical problems, and to die in a racecar, doing what I loved, how much better could it get?

On the 5 lap tribute they played Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. Hard to not get choked up over that. And he was given the honorary win.

The next AMT Parts Pack?
Draggon replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
OK Jon, can I pre-order? -
I wasnt really a fan of his, but after seeing Dale Earnhardt's passing, I figured with a 2 hour plus red flag, the news wansnt good. To see Tony Kannan so obviously emotional, I anticipated the worst. God Bless you and your family, Dan Wheldon.

I just cant get past his squealing. Ugh! In my opinion he is now the poster boy for "why former drivers should not be commentators" -

Draggon replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
JB Hobbies on ebay has them right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TURNED-ALUMINUM-MOON-DISKS-9-16-1-24-1-25-scale-/160660647753?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25681eef49 The Parts box also has them. I have a set and they're real nice, however they have a minimum order requirement. -
VW Midget
Draggon replied to Old Sprinter's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
They sure were! I only got to see Kenyon and Vogler run on TV. There performance was beyond outstanding. It seemed like Vogler could win in anything, except at Indianapolis. The only one I have ever seen as good as these guys was Wolfgang. I watched him run from the D main at Knoxville up to the A sometime in the late 80's. I had never seen a run like that, before or after. I wonder how many USAC titles Vogler could have had! -
VW Midget
Draggon replied to Old Sprinter's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
My first car was a bug, and I've always had them since. When the VW progressed from mini-stock to midget I was over the top stoked. I love what you are doing! The VW midget doesnt get much love now, but for a few years in the 80's it ruled the dirt. Mel Kenyon and Rich Vogler put it one the map. -
I glued all of the stuff shut on the IMC 48 convert. It came out decent, and I loved the cammer, the carson top, and the Hurst wheelcovers. I had always wished for a one piece body. I never picked up the Revell convert, mostly based upon the horrid box art model, and then my troubles with the IMC version. I have to say, the box art model of Revell's convertible was so far beyond awful that I still haven not bought one. This new coupe however, is on my to do list!

how did you get hooked ..my 1st kit 1963
Draggon replied to mr cheap's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My Dad built the Revell 56 Buick for me, and a couple of years later my Mother helped me with a Hubley Nash Metropolitan. We moved to California in 1962, and I found an AMT 40 Ford coupe in a grocery store. That was the first model I built myself, and got me totally hooked. -

I think that they should allow ample cooling time after the styrene has been injected so the parts dont warp. That, or better packaging so the same doesnt happen over time. I have many an unbuildable model due to warping. My LHS got pretty peeved one time when I opened all they had of a specific kit, and they were all warped. Peeved at me, not the model company!

Im speechless, that is fantastic!

MPC 1971 GTO Street Funny?
Draggon replied to allegheny's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had that one! It was one of my favorite models. Unfortunately almost all of it is gone now, I just have the blue tinted windows, zoomie exhaust, and hood left. Threres one on ePay right now, at 42 bucks. It will surely go for a lot more than that. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140614036812?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_515wt_1255 -
