  1. I liked the "Abarth looney bits" quite a lot. Especially the deck lid propped open 'cause the engine is too big. Gotta love anything like that. I think that if the new fiat had the engine in the CORRECT place, like, behind the rear wheels, I would be at the dealer right away.
  2. Either way I dig it! But I understand your dilemma. What I have experienced on my stuff, is simpler is better. If you add that beautiful moon tank, I am looking forward to seeing how you mounted it. I am working on a 32, and no matter what I do, the tank doesnt look right.
  3. Comparing the 1:1 to the model, defines why we modelers can do it better. The "real" ones look pathetically wimpy, while yours is really bad and agressive!
  4. Ira, I want to see a mockup. You're just teasing us. California guys have a reputation for bein "trixy" Pony up!
  5. Yea, Joe, I have to sheepishly admit that buying one crossed my mind in a huge way. Add the Abarth factor....I love the whine of that motor. Im not a rich man, but it wouldnt hurt my budget all that much. I think I can go without food for six months.....I wonder if the Abarth is really an Abarth, or if Fiat is counting on the name. I am still stuck on "fix it again tony" I bought a Pinto in 71 rather that a Fiat 124. I guess Im pretty screwed as far as my ability to make good choices. Must be why Ive had a couple of wives.............
  6. Yea, no kidding! Mine are in those "displaly cases" like Lindberg and AMT make. I have only 13 cases. Nuff said about my ability to complete a model. I must say that those Ikea bookcases are looking pretty good!
  7. When I saw that J-Lo ad all that kept crossing my mind was "yea, right, like she would own one" . I like the Abarth tho! The car, I mean
  8. Thats really cool, I dig it. Great job Curt!
  9. My son says its "awesome".
  10. Erik that is one great model! I dig how you combined several styles, it works perfectly. I love this so much!
  11. Sorry Walt, but that song makes me want to pull my (grey) hair out.
  12. To heck with the car, I want the house!
  13. This is great news!!! Last time I bought one of the 1/4 oz jars it was 3.59. Whoot whoot! O, wait, I go to Hobbytown, I guess now the little jars will be six bucks there.
  14. I found it. Some interesting stuff
  15. Yep agreed. It was the AMX Trans-AM based upon the Javelin. But a true AMX done up as a trans-am would be neat!
  16. Beautiful. I love your work. I bid on your Pioneer 55 Chevy roadster on ebay awhile back, but it got too costly for me.
  17. I've got it, the tires do look a lot like the ones on the McLaren, but as I remember it, they are a bit taller and narrower, and dont have sidewall detail.
  18. I had a similar problem using Tamiya Dark Bronze for the color coat and Duplicolor clear for the gloss. I didnt figure it out and stripped the body, thinking to use Model Master Acrylic Gloss. I'm sorta surprised at the reaction he has using the same brand of paint.
  19. This box art sucked me in to the 34 Coupe. It looks OK, but I didnt read the fine print on the bottom of the box " Photos of painted and assembled PROTOTYPE model" What came in the box looked like this: Talk about snub-nosed!
  20. Yea, they sucked me in for a Coupe with that deceitful box art. I spent a lot of hours online before I realized they fudged the box art so much!
  21. Yea, I'd like to get one just for the weird factor! http://www.ebay.com/itm/DRUG-RACING-Drag-racing-1-24-MODEL-KIT-NAGANO-JAPAN-/360399907045#ht_3008wt_1270
  22. I would like to challenge anyone to beat the craptasticness of the Revell 34 Ford roadster "saints" version. Saints is the first indicator that you are about to enter the gates of hell. Add the awful wire wheels, plus the 2 piece tires that defy any and all means of glueing them together till the end of eternity. If you think youve got it,, wait, they will pop apart even 10 years later! Then you have to add in the super extreme fiddly chassis that bends and breaks at its own will, and which will warp despite any and all means to counter act that. If you get that far and have a rolling chassis and engine, lo and behold, wait for it....... a body that is so freaking screwed up it will make you stomp on that 100 hour plus engine and chassis project just to spite its horrid self! I have two of these, just to let you guys know how much I like to be tormented!
