  1. I cant believe some of the guys havent heard of them. They have some of the best resin parts out there. I have some of their stuff, and while the minimum order, and shipping adds up, I place big orders so its not that much of a problem. They usually go on a sort of vacation this time of year, but I hadn't heard of them "moving". Maybe someone here that is on the AMCC Forum can shed some light on this.
  2. DOHC Ford front cover from the Gurney Eagle?
  3. I love it. Sure looks great lowered with a bit of extra detailing!
  4. And I bet they are collecting interest on the money they are "holding".
  5. Cant forget about the bugs. I had never seen the orange one till just now.
  6. The Modelhaus has a vac formed windshield and red tailights, $2.00 and $2.50.
  7. The AMT 60 Ford has astros, as does Modelhaus. I like the steel wheels tho, I think it looks great just like it sits right now.
  8. Hmmm, its still listed as "availabilty unknown" on my queue.
  9. Looks great so far, I am amazed that you made something out of a TKM body!
  10. I had a friend that built a straght axle 56 Chevy around 1970-ish. It rode an handled like garbage, except in a straight line. But man, did it look cool. I bought a 50 Olds straight axle in 1974. To say the ride was rough is an understatemant. With todays techologly I think this is not a problem, but in the 70's holy guacamole, they were close to undriveable on the street.
  11. What a unique idea!
  12. I've used Model Master and it works very well. I've only shot Guards red and gloss black, but they went on great and I think cover better than the enamel in those little square jars.
  13. Well, thats a great job on this thing! Mine is sitting in its box, I found out how most everything doesnt fit correctly!
  14. Im waiting for the pearly goodness....................
  15. Holy guacamole thats nice!
  16. For the most part I think its stupid to leave it. That being said, I left the markings on the fenders of a Monogram 30 Phaeton. I wanted to acknowledge that the model I was building was almost 50 years old.
  17. Too bad the real one did not match its looks with performance. If it went as good as it looks it would have been unbeatable. As Ive read it, it was a horrible monster to drive, and the cockpit heat was intolerable. But it looks just so darn awesome!
  18. Dave is certainly talented, but doesnt come here anymore. He has found a home on the "other" forum.
  19. That is soooooo nice Cesar!
  20. I love seeing any Cheetahs built and yours is fantastic!
  21. All great guys! But I've gotta say Highway Patrol sends tingles up my spine!
  22. Yea its tough. In my youth, I switched from static models to slot cars. I had a great lot of success there, with of course immediate gratification every time I won. I got motors for free from Ron Mura which furthered the self esteem. I started a 1:1 car club ( Nor-Cal Street Machines ) after slot racing, and the 1:1 stuff fulfilled my alone time for a number of years. Now that I am older and have had the marriages and children, I cherish my alone time. I have accepted that my friends/family do not "get it" and thats OK. I hooked up with my model buddy from the 60's recently, and even he doesnt get it. Thats why I love MCM forums, I have made friends that above all, share my love of model cars and these are the guys I can relate to!
  23. Since there has been a lot of interest in favorite music, what is your favorite intro of all time? Surf/cars/drama seems to have a commonality in the best of intros, so what's yours? Mine are #1 the ORIGINAL Hawaii 5-0, love the Music, and McGarrett's super-cool black 4 door Merc. Second in line is the Rockford Files. James Garner single handedly made non-Trans Am Firebirds, and whitewalls cool in one stroke. Ive long been a Blue Oval guy, but Jim almost changed me over with that cool Firebird! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXtpoO_DlDM
