  1. A muscle car is a classic. A street machine is an exercise in bad taste. Having been a member of the Northern California Street Machine Association circa the middle to late 70's, I know of what I speak.
  2. Thats sooo cool, I dig it.
  3. For me its the cammers. Ford SOHC: And DOHC!
  4. sounds like ipms stuff........
  5. That guy has been criticized all over the forums. Some people must just be complete idiots to buy from him. The AMT double dragster kit can be had for around 20 plus bucks, yet he lists 4 tires and wheels from that kit for 25.99 plus shipping. And he has a 99.6% rating. What a maroon!
  6. Traditional rods-n-kustoms. I built a whole lot of AMT trophy kits when I was a kid, loved them then and now. I'd rather build an AMT 32 Ford than ANY of the much "superior" Revell kits. Not only do I love the old style hot rods, it takes me back to my youth when on any given day you might see a Tee Bucket or two, maybe a couple 40 Fords, and even a few straight axle GM's cruising the local streets. Back when the Grand National Roadster show was in Oakland, a bunch of the street worthy show cars would cruise down East 14th street after the show and meet up at Sambo's restaurant for coffee and lots of gab. I spent more than a few late nites consuming too much coffee!
  7. Yea, well haters beware. I dig most of them, and I'm an old school rod-n-kustom guy. I have been known to buy some of this wierd ****** from Japan. Gonna make me one O' these, with more camber and huge flares. The only thing I dig more than 32 and 40 Fords is old Skylines!
  8. Heard tell that Tamiya deck tan, with drybrushed with flat earth, then covered in clear orange works pretty well.
  9. I agree with Dave. All the japanese kits I have have got beautiful rubber tires that look way much better than any vinyl does. Ive said it before, if the japanese can farm the rubber tires out to small companies we should be able to do that also. Then we could do like Aoshima, and have wheel/tire sets available separately.
  10. Some nice bodywork there! I particularly like the molded in visor.
  11. Well thats unigue! Nice work, I like the hand lettering.
  12. Man, thats nice!!
  13. Everthing Ive seen you do is so absolutely clean, you have some incredible skills. This kit as you know is notorious for being a bear to build, but this is fantastic. And thats a great idea for louvers. I love it!
  14. You guys are nuts. The last time my Doc gave me an exray this is what it looked like. Sheesh, update, OK?
  15. I had some Revell pro stock front tires react with Tamiya paint. They were mocked up without paint for a year or so, but after I applied the paint in a few months they started to bleed. Im gonna take them apart and try putting future on the surfaces that will touch the tires.
  16. Heres a good example of a Ghia decklid standoff kit installed.
  17. Outstanding! I love that transformation. Great job!
  18. Great job! I have always like this car and the story behind it takes me back to when ingenuity played a big part in racing. You did this historic race car justice!
  19. Absolutely outstanding!
  20. The shoebox ones are pretty neat!
  21. I might like to, but there are no kits for a 71 Superbeetle, the Aoshima one is too far off in general, and is of a 73 or later with the curved winshield and huge taillights. Way too much to modify. There isnt to my knowledge any 1962 Buick Skylarks, either coupe or convertible, both of which I owned. I had a 79 El Camino, and have a couple kits of that, but I have avoided it because the kits seem very "off" to me. It was my daily driver for 17 years so I am quite familiar with its lines. No 93 Grand Ams, Mazda Proteges, and the Civic Ferrio kit is rare and way expensive. I currently have a 98 Durango, got it from a freind, doesnt even have 40,000 miles yet, and no kit of it either. I really really want the AMT 64 Buick Wildcat. I had a 1:1 mildly customized, and loved that car. They are available, but too much moolah! Oh well
  22. I love that dragster Frank!
  23. Words just cant describe this! I love it!
  24. Reset-schmeset, my Michaels is a total mess, and charges an arm and a leg too! I keep hoping only to be disapointed.
  25. Are you looking for the dragster style chrome wire wheels?
