  1. After putting those vintage unobtainium parts in bleach to soak the chrome off, and then rinse them in the sink, and OOPS! You forgot to put the strainer in the bottom of the sink! I actually have taken the pee trap off to find parts before, and found them to be gone for good. I'd like to say I learned the first time, but it was more like the third. And Hey Allen, as far as your "boys" go I think you need to go to the Doc. Something must be wrong. Mine are labelled "L and R"
  2. I dig that chop, great job!
  3. I dont like the word awesome, but I'll make an exception for this. Man, thats freakin' awesome!!
  4. Holy....Oh I cant say that word here....man thats NICE!!

Looks good in that color! Great job. Did it come with Modelhaus resin tires?
  6. Outstanding Bernard! Totally rough-n-tough!
  7. I dig that Model A pickup!
  8. Beautiful, I dig the steelies on whites! That gap between the top and the body looks OK, great job!
  9. Attitude, how it sits and looks overall is a big one for me. For example, like a NASCAR or road racer that sits higher in the front than in the back, and the track is so wide in the front that the tires stick out, yet the rear looks almost like it was tubbed. The theres the 49 Merc 4x4 look, or the rods that have shorter tires in the rear. OK, they mnight be wider, but look at the darn profile of the model and yuck. Wheels that have been twisted off the sprue so there is either a huge nub left on the rim, or a piece is broken out. Tires that come nowwhere close to having the bead sit on the rim. And finally, panel gaps. I see so many many times where someone takes the time to open doors, and then after the model is done the character lines dont match up, the doors sag, or have gaps so big yu could fit a hand thru them. OK, whew! Im done now
  10. Thats what I build more often than anything else! You might want to check out the builds at http://trakinscale.proboards.com/index.cgi?
  11. I love it too! Turned out real nice!
  12. Well I think its pretty nice! Thats one mean looking wheelie bar and cage!
  13. That paint is so smooth at first I thought it was molded in red plastic. Then I read it was paint, and thot holy cow, thats smooth!! Then I read that you brushed it. That is beyond amazing!
  14. Uh, my problem is that I want to change the wheels and tires for some from the Modelhaus that I think will look much better. The rear wheels are on a metal axle so thats no problem, but I glued the front wheels onto the axle quite well so they wont budge. The axle is out of a Lindberg kit, so the plastic is pretty soft. It bends before the wheelback starts to move. I've tried it several times, and I dont want to break it. And thanks for the compliment on the weathering!
  15. Actually I WAS thinking of Ken Block, and particualary of that video, but it came out as Tanner Foust. Yikes, Im getting old.......
  16. I betcha Tanner Foust could do it. Or maybe the Stig..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHtwUr-IkHM&feature=player_detailpage
  17. That is the car that singlehandedly caused me to love 32's above all other. I think it is just gorgeous! Just might have to get me one of them!
  18. Nice job, I dig that "he**aflush" look! Hey, can we use the term "he**aflush" here?
  19. I picked up a couple of ancient Revell Parts Packs from him recently. Based upon the reputation Ive heard of him I had no reservations! They should be here in a few days.
  20. My LHS is a chain store, so I am used to finding things I did not expect. Like, out of the color or paint I want, out of primer, out of Tenax or Ambroid, out of Evergreen, out of brass tubing, out of Model Cars Magazine, bla bla bla. I can travel to another city where there is great hobby shop, but sometimes I just wanna go down the road a couple minutes to pick up some supplies. At least there IS an LHS in my town.
  21. I vote for wheels that arent attatched to the tree by the front side of the wheel, especially when the attatchment point ruins the edge of the rim. If the Japanese can mold their wheels attatched on the backside the American companies can too.
  22. My only completed one so far. I dont like the huge whitewalls, but havent figured out how to remove the front wheels to change then out without messing up the axle. And here are some stalled projects. Very stalled!
  23. Dale would put him into the wall and just say "Rubbin's racin'", then off camera use his fist to mop up Whiney's tears. Why do you call him "Shrub"?
  24. Watching him twitch while attatched to the barbs of a Taser would be WAY more fun that watching NASCAR.
