  1. thanks for all of the support guys! sad to say though the bug has been squished. my 3yr. old son got ahold of the body after i cut the doors out, needless to say i dosent resemble a bug anymore. if i can get ahold of a tamiya bug kit ill start over on this one.
  2. modded amt ranger kit with the aoshima toyota chassis, some homemade wheels and a 4 banger.
  3. ive used both and compared, if you decant the dupli color and spray it thru and airbrush over a black enamal base (same way you do alclad) the results are almost exactly the same . both give a high polish aluminium look, not exactly chrome but close.
  4. from what i understand there was a fire, i knew he and family were ok. he just wasnt sure when he was going to be back, up and running. thanks for the reply!!

  13. 1-7119-225. 1971 CAMARO "MILD & WILD" series. 1:25. original 1971 issue. build Pro Stock or Super Sport version. twin blowers; twin parachutes; 16 trumpet pipes; injector stacks; high rise intake manifold; 396 Chevy Engine; pro stock air scoop; injector stacks. body molded in yellow. heres an article on the zingers http://treswright.vervehosting.com/ but they dont look like the camaro. from what i found, the mild & wild kits were their own series like Marc said
  14. I build 1:1 for a living and 24th/25th for fun.
  15. it is for planes and boats. its made for wood. great stuff for that, have you tried scuffing/sanding first to give it something to bite? Ive never tried it on plastic before.
  16. thats kinda what i figured. thanks Shane, Whats the average cut per side?
  17. Thanks Guys! Ive got a set of the goodyear front runners i was gonna use, i looked for the pegasus set, but everywhere i went they were sold out. I got a set of goodyear eagle slicks from a nascar kit, that im gonna re-shape/make shorter for the rear. had to hit the dpmc site for the kit destructions, as my 3 year old made the originals disappear. i found a set of headlight decals from the 55 sportsman kit to use. im just waiting on the spare hoods to get here from VW Dave so i can strech the hood down some more. still kinda need to source some wheels im gonna use. A bud from another site is supplying the 53's from the herbie kit from polar lights, but they look like stickers to me, we'll see when they arrive. not too much progress to show as of now, so ill save taking pics you have already seen for another post. later gators!
  18. ###### Jeff! thats nuts. Hey Dave or Shane, wheres going to be the best place to cut the spring tubes to narrow the front end?
  19. Lookin' good Wayne!! At least the Mopars are in the right place. J/K!
  20. When i was working in the body shop, i could get frame diagrams for repairing heavy hits/frame damage. If you have a body shop near by, go in and talk to the Owner/Mgr and perhaps they can get it for you. Might cost ya a couple bucks but for the price you cant beat it. http://www.73-87.com/ Jim
  21. Looks like it will be another winner! Very good start. if you need any more help i do alot of casting too. and custom paint. jim
