  1. I would try hardwood, such as maple or birch. Not oak, as the grain is too course. An old piece of hardwood flooring cast-off and a few minutes with a table saw should make up a nice trailer load. Weather if desired, or leave fresh cut. Could be stained if you wanted a darker colour.
  2. Welcome to the forum, Paddy.
  3. Welcome to the forum, Daryl.
  4. Welcome to the forum Ken, from a fellow Bluenoser. Cheers.
  5. Great looking combo. That is about the nicest box stock build I've seen of the Revell VW. Impressive work on the trailer. Nice style, and looks perfect for the VW. Very well done.
  6. Digging the Woodie dio, Nicely done. As other have noted, the vibe from the woman is priceless. Very cool.
  7. Gorgeous Cuda. Perfect colour and you did a great job laying down that paint. The engine detailing is well done and very clean, and those carbs are insane. A fantastic build. I love it.
  8. Very cool Porsche. Nice detailing, and good, clean work. The graphics pop nicely.
  9. The sidewall printing does look very clean. Good, crisp detail.
  10. Somehow I have managed to miss this build. Glad to see it's back on the bench. Things are looking good so far. I'll be tuned in for the rest of the build. I have the same kit on the back burner, been stalled for two years now, but hopefully It will be back in action soon. I'm building mine as a '72 with Lusso trim. I sorted the windscreen the same way as you did, but still have a small amount of distortion. I may take another shot at filing/sanding/polishing to improve it further. I glued strips of plastic from the inside of the window frame to hold the windscreen in place. I'll put up a pic when I'm back at the bench to illustrate.
  11. The Tyrrells are looking great. The colour looks perfect. Such an interesting car, from the days when radical innovation in F1 was still possible. I loved those days.
  12. The shade of blue you chose looks fantastic. I like it! So much nicer than the B5 blue.
  13. You picked the right colour! Nice looking paint.
  14. That's a mean looking beast. The build is looking great. Is this 1/35?
  15. Cool project. Beautiful car.
  16. Very cool project. It's going to be an impressive model. Watching.
  17. Cheers Jim. I just emailed them myself, as I too am interested. Hopefully these become available again before too long. I'd like to get a couple of the Lotus 29 upgrade kits and a couple additional sets of tires when they are in stock again.
  18. Hello Thomas, and welcome to the forum. Try posting your parts request in the WANTED section, near the bottom of the main forum page. You might have better luck there. Cheers
  19. Have you contacted them to confirm? I see the site says oos, but some of these shops produce product to order.
  20. Cool Lotus builds, Gustavo. I love them both. Really nicely done models. I'm guessing the submarine is a Fujimi kit, but I can see the other one is not. Is it the Nichimo kit?
  21. Nice re-build, and a good looking wagon. I've been intrigued by these Hubley Ford wagons for some time, and keep my eye out for one. I see lots or promos on the bay, but usually warped badly. The kits seem less common.
  22. Nice lines.
  23. If you apply it directly over yellow plastic, you will have a semi-translucent finish that will retain a very plastic look. I would prime with white, then apply a yellow base coat before laying down the turn signal amber. This will create a much more solid and realistic finish.
  24. I would coat the decals in question with gloss clear while still on the paper. Once cured, cut the decal from the sheet, right up to the image. When applied, it should be a shiny decal.
