Monogram Ferrari 308 GTB Racer
Bainford replied to JTalmage's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Nice work. The kit builds up well. I had this kit in my hands once, many years ago. I didn't buy it because the box art put me off a bit. Seeing your build, I think I made the wrong decision. It's a good looking Ferrari, and you did a great job of it. Actually, I think throughout the late 70s-80s, Monogram did themselves a huge disservice with their box art. So many times I chose not to buy a Monogram kit from that era due to funky box art photos of the built up kit, only to find later that the kit actually looks much better in person than on the box top. -

Gorgeous Porsche. Such raw beauty, and you captured it perfectly. Nice clean work. Very well done. -
Good looking Celica. I had a bit of a thing for these in the 80s. Still a good looking car, and you captured the vibe nicely. Well done.

Lovely Porsche. You did a beautiful job on it. Nice and clean. Top job! I’ve been wanting to do one of the Enthusiast Series Porsches myself. I have a 69 911 in the stash I’m anxious to get to soon. I’m feeling a bit inspired.

Turned out great, Kurt. A cool concept, with interesting and well executed mods and details. At the beginning of your build thread, I wasn't so sure about those wheels, but they are actually perfect for this build. Very cool, Kurt, and very well done.- 14 replies

Just opened my 1:16 scale AMT 1957 Tbird
Bainford replied to JerseeJerry55's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I haven't built the '57, but I built the '55 T-Bird when I was young. A very simple kit that went together easily. If I recall, the opening doors are straightforward, just follow the instructions carefully. If you get stuck, give a holler, but I think you find this kit a stress-free build. -
Nice roof conversion. It gives the impression of a coupe, rather than a very large sedan. Nicely done.

Agreed. It sits perfectly. -
Congratulations, Francis. Your tenacity and hard work have paid off handsomely in an incredible and stunning model. A work to truly be proud of. Like many others, I have enjoyed the journey, and learned some stuff along the way. Thank you for taking the time to fully document the process. I know it takes a lot of additional time and effort to do so, and given the time and effort already consumed by this project, there must have been times when it seemed like an unnecessary chore. We all appreciate it. Hat's off to you, sir, for such an impressive accomplishment. Cheers.

Wow! decal challenge, for sure. Great looking model. Very well done. -
Nice looking build, Rich. The show wasn't available where I lived, so I have never actually seen it in action, just images online. It certainly looks the part. I didn't realise this kit had features such as the saw blades, etc, or even an engine. A cool, fun build. Nicely done.

Wicked cool!. I love pulling tractors. This seems like a very nice kit. The jet engines look to be very well done. At any rate, beautiful execution, and all around very cool model. Love it! -
Stunning build, Jason. Very clean work, and great attention to details. The shade of yellow is perfect. The RSR makes for a stellar road car. You nailed it. Excellent work all around.
