This has happened to me a couple of times using Scale Finishes, and I thought it was because I unknowingly got a little carried away with too heavy of coats and not letting the coats dry sufficiently in between each other. Easily fixed with a little sanding and very light respray coats.
They already have the license for the 1/10 RC version, so why not use it for a 1/24? What's up with Aoshima lately? Seems like they slowed the pace of new car announcements. Anyone have any hints of what's next? Still waiting for a McLaren F1 road or short tail race car.
As reported from Sascha Mueller on Facebook, the next Tamiya 1/24 car is the Mercedes-AMG GT3. Pretty cool! We have a street version from Revell, and now a track version from Tamiya.
These are reboxes of the Italeri kits, and build off the 964 era cars, so the chassis, suspension and many interior details are incorrect for 993 cars. I too like the color combo!
As of now, Tamiya has nothing for us (I used Google translate for the link): http://www.tamiya.com/japan/cms/newstopics/4693-hobbyshownewitem.html?platform=hootsuite
