YOUR LOCAL HOBBY SHOP ECONOMY
Ben replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Exactly! And that's why I hardly have any money in my account. Because I have a debit card, a mouse and no self control! LOL -

LOL, be patient. A debit card can get you into trouble just like a credit card can! -
YOUR LOCAL HOBBY SHOP ECONOMY

That all depends on where you buy online. I usually buy my kits from Tower Hobbies.Their shipping is 9.99 for your whole order. I wait until I'm going to buy several kits and then place an order. I joined the Super Saver club for 9.99 so I get free shipping for a year on any order over 100.00. They also match prices. I have saved boatloads of money ordering from them versus buying from a hobby shop! -
Beautiful job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a HobbyTown here but I only go there for glue or paint. I won't buy kits there. I know they have to make thier profit but I'm not going to pay full retail on a kit when I can order it right here, online and have it sitting by my door a few days later. I look at HobbyTown as "just another middleman". I'll give you an example of what I mean. Right now I'm waiting for HobbyLinc to get the HobbyBoss M1070 with M1000 tank transporter kits in because they have them listed at 135.00. I looked at one at a show we had here last weekend from a hobby store that was there. They wanted 204.00 for the exact same kit!!!!!!!! Really!?!? I think I can wait till HobbyLinc gets them in and save 70.00 ON ONE KIT! I don't see why every seller on Ebay, HobbyLinc and Tower Hobbies can sell this kit for less than 150.00 but that hobby shop has to get 204.00? -
How focused are your scale modeling interests?

#4 for me! I'll build anything! My favorites are construction equipment, semi trucks, light commercial and drag related but I have everything from tanks, ships, planes, an off shore oil rig, a bucket wheels excavator, trains etc.. If I think it's cool and someone makes a model of it, I gotta have it! -

Moebius Models Great Dane reefer update

I see the support arms you mentioned, Scott. I was wondering what those were! Never seen that before. The suspension in the pics you posted is exactly the same as Clint Freeman's standard height trailer air ride. What pieces are missing from the system? I'm sure it would be simple to make a little resin "kit" to finish it. -

Oh man, wait till you guys see the suspension!!!!!!!!!! This will be the first time an accurate, detailed trailer air ride has been made for an American trailer kit! It just keeps getting better!!!!!!! -

Yeah, that's him. I couldn't remember his name. Is the new one better or worse with Ashton? I just can't picture him in that role? -
From what I've been reading, I think one comes with a picture, suitable for framing and the other does not? I that that and the stars on the one box are the only differences?

Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought everything Scott sells!!!!!!!! Awesome stuff! I'm going to buy another full set of his parts when he brings out the other Fairmont body with the different rear wheel wells. I want to build a Glidden and a Dyno Don as well! We need to get some good decals made for them!!!
