It's actually kinda sad.............
Ben posted a topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That there is someone out there, so immature that they have waited and constantly checked to see when they could rejoin our forum just to show how childish they really are with nothing but the hope of starting a fight on here. I hope our members choose to ignore this person so that maybe they will choose to leave and go find a forum more suited to their behavior. -
Still wondering if these cool trailer kits are offered for sale?

That's how I have ben doing it. Never understood why they made it a spray bottle. You would waste more than you would use!?

Outstanding work Terry!!!!!!!!!!! I have always thought about weathering using a very thinned mixture of very light gray paint to give the overall "dust" effect! Looks like it actually works! -

That's really impressive to see something so detailed built from a material very rarely used in the truck modeling world! I too use all forms of materials to fabricate. Brass, resin, stainless, aluminum and of course, styrene but I have never thought to use paper! It's always great to see nicely built trucks but to me, when they are built out of something so out of the ordinary, it makes them even more special! -
Great minds think alike! I have been gathering parts and info to build both transporters for years! Even before they were restored! That was some irony! I have two of the Dodge crew cabs that were offered by Tom Coolidge. Vince Putt, here in the group has been working on a CNC routered styrene kit of the hauler beds used on each truck. (there were minor differences in the beds) I have been gathering every photo I can find for reference and they can be seen here: www.public.fotki.com/lotso Also, the ModelHuas has just come out with their own Dodge D series truck conversion kits as well.

PAPER!?!?! Holy *^%$ That's awesome considering what you had to work with!!!!! VERY nice work! -
LOL, If that makes the builder insane, I should have been committed a LOOOOOOONG time ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would normally buy those in a heartbeat. I just recently lost my job though so I need to be sane for a little while until I find something else. To me, things like that are little works of art and can turn a good model into a great model!!! For time and materials involved in making those wheels, the price he is asking is more than fair. Back when there were no machinists offering real machined wheels, a friend contracted a company to manufacture 1/24 scale machined aluminum Alcoa ten hole semi truck wheels. Those wheels sold for ten dollars each. I have one hundred (ten sets) of those wheels. They are highly prized to those who know about them! I try to buy every set when they pop up on Ebay, which is rarely! Jim Littiken has been kind enough to produce several different semi truck wheels of my design and they too sell for 10.00 to 14.00 dollars for each wheel. I love stuff like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obscure Kits You Never Knew Were Made...Until Now
Ben replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Some of you may not be aware of this gem. I have three of them. One built and two mint kits. I had the Super Digger dragster as well which is kind of a companion to this kit. This kit is 1/12 scale and features a motor and gearbox behind the drivers seat area that when you press the seperate "foot" shaped gas pedal, it raises and lowers the body. -

I have that I have that Winnebago. They used to give them away at Winnebago dealers. It was made two different ways. The first being an all assembled promo type toy and the second being the "kit" which was the same thing, just disassembled. It has stickers for the stripes and is designed to be motorized. -

That's some awesome work!!!!!! Do you by chance have a flat top roof for the Kenworth sleeper that you would be willing to sell? A friend has the Aerodyne but wants to make it a flat roof. -

Oh man, that box is hilarous!!!!!!!!!!! -
Just wondering if anyone has any tips on getting a realistic, weathered finish on bare aluminum. In this case it would be the intake side of a turbo housing. It just doesn't look right in the bright silver that the "aluminum" paint produces. I was thinking of dry brushing some flat white on it but wanted to see what you guys think first.
